Thing has huge holes in it and they aren't opposing holes either.

Def. large holes, but they have always worked perfect for me. I have bought (and used) maybe 40 of them so far, and I think Ive only had 4 bad ones out of that.

Houston checking in!

Started vaping about 4 years ago and got off analogs entirely a little over 9 months ago after 30+ years of a pack and half per day habit. If anyone knows of a good B&M store in Houston please let me know. Bought my first rebuildable and it'd be nice to go check out a store and talk to a few people before I get into it.

Grapevine, smack dab between Dallas & Fort Worth.
Spoken like a true Texan. I'm from McKinney, so I happen to know what "smack dab" means. ;-)
Don't quite have this "reply with quote" thing down yet.....hence the avatar.

McKinney eh? I'm just south of you in Allen.

Since you are so close, allow me to warn you away from a bad vape shop. It shall go nameless, but it's right off Central in Allen. There is another small shop off of Greenville in Allen that is fantastic though. Great priced for juice if you drive through Allen much. Just $12 for 30ml, and their flavors are good.

Would that be located @ central and McDermott? Good to know, I was considering checking it out. What's the problem with it?

Oh where do I begin on that list of complaints....

First, their prices are high. $18 for a 30ml bottle of liquid, most of their gear is priced about 20-50% higher than MSRP.

Second, their flavoring is inconsistent at best. I stopped going there on my 3rd visit when I bought two bottles for my wife and one for me. They had to mix mine on the spot since they didn't have any with the nic level I wanted already made. They mixed the bottle up and dropped it into the bag with my wife's liquid. I should have double checked it in the store because when I got home I found they had forgotten to add the flavoring. It was totally unflavored.

And third, they're run by kids fresh out of high school who seem more interested in creating their front room vape lounge for all of their friends to hang out in than they are in taking care of their adult customers who come in. Their customer service could be described as "what do you want and how quickly can you leave?"

And finally, they make excuses when the things they sell don't work right. I had an SVD that I bought from them that within an hour of buying I came back and complained that it would turn itself off at random times for no reason. They went on and on about how to properly use one, but would not exchange it. Two months later and out of warranty, that SVD failed entirely. $99 wasted, and I was not happy that they weren't willing to exchange it on day 1 when I knew there was a problem with it.

Personally I can't wait until they go out of business.

I had the exact opposite reaction to the shop off of Greenville and Bethany. Little small place run by a guy in his 30s or 40s. My first time there they were preparing to leave for a trade show. They had the doors locked and were inside boxing stuff up to take with them. The owner still came to the door, let me in, and was totally happy to not only take care of my immediate needs but offered to let me try other flavors, and spent a good 15 minutes discussing the gear he stocked with me. He, as well as his other employees were all really friendly and helpful even though I was clearly in their way and slowing them down as they prepared to leave.

And their prices were great too. $12 for 30ml compared to the $18 at the other place.

Awesome, I'll definitely check them out. Do they have any rebuildable atty's? It's something I'm interested in getting into and haven't found here in McKinney. I know there are plenty online but I prefer b&m stores, especially when they are run by someone over 18 who knows what they are doing.

Honestly, I don't remember if they have rebuildables. They've got a lot of good stuff for such a small shop though, and they REALLY know what they are doing, so there is a good chance that they do. Just give them a call first and ask.

I don't like giving the specific names of bad places, but I don't mind sharing the names of good shops. Their name is UVapez.

uVapez Vapors | Merging style with personality

They're a new B&M store so their website is mostly just placeholders without much info, but they have 100% American juices, all mixed in shop. They are more than happy to do custom mixes for you so you can pick any PG/VG balance and have the flavors tweaked any way you want.

Uvapez Vapor - Allen, TX | Yelp

Another place you may want to check out if you find yourself in Plano is a place called Artisan Vapor in Plano off of 15th just east of Central, next to the police station. They've got competitive prices, really good flavors, sell 39ml instead of 30ml bottles, and they have good customer service. They're part of a chain of vape stores, so they're a bit more commercially styled and less mom&pop, but they definitely sell rebuildables as well as a wide range of mods and mech mods. It's my second favorite B&M store in the area.

They also do online sales, so their website is very well done.

E-Cig | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarette | Artisan Vapor Company

I've been to close to 20 different vape shops in the North Dallas area. These two definitely stand above the rest.

I live in Plano just south of you on 75 and there's a couple I can name off within a couple miles.

http://www.mywhv.com

There is a group of owners. The owners don't know much, but love ecigs. They do however have some knowledgeable staff. Lots of flavors to choose from and a selection of everything. Prices are a lil high on gear, but I use them for juice. They are at Parker and Alma.

Then there's these guys.

http://communityvaporhouse.com

I really want them to make it. They have a bad store front. Kinda hidden and tucked off the road view. These guys were all vapors and you might know more than them. But what they lack in knowledge, they way more than make up for in prices and customer service. I'll pay more for good customer service, but they have both. Always interested in what gear you just bought. Will custom make juices for you.

These guys stand by their suppliers. They won't order product online, too afraid of getting fakes. So the selection is limited, but you know it's real and the price is right. They just opened a couple months ago, and right now is slow season in retail, I hope they make it.

Do stay away from the place at Parker and 75.
