I'm GTAsoldier. You can call me GTA. I'm from New York. I've been vaping for a couple of years now and I enjoy it. I never smoked in my life so I wanted to do the cancer-free alternative.

Anyways, I joined this board because I have a question. But here's the story:

I bought the Kanger T3D clearomizer to replace my Halo Triton. I hooked up the Triton battery to it (I know this isn't meant to happen since they have different threading, but I managed). For a while it worked. But I realized the battery failed on it. So I just went out to replace it with the eGo-C battery. When I hooked everything up, one of two things happen:

  • The batttery works, but I can't draw in the vape from the eliquid I had put in.
  • The battery doesn't work because it's not super tightly connected to the T3DS base. Part of me believes that the threading on the base is screwed.
I have one other T3D+eGo Battery combo and it works fine. Both batteries have been charged completely. What do I do?

Thank,

GTA

Hello and welcome to the forum @GTAsoldier. Glad to have you here!

If you have stripped the threads on either the battery or tank then don't count on it ever working well.

Take a battery & tank (both having unstripped threads) and pair them together. Don't pair batteries/tanks that don't share common threading. Most common is the ego/510.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Yeah, when I purchased the Kanger T3D it closely resembled the Halo Triton tank so I assumed that the Halo Battery would fit well and work right with it. It didn't screw in well at first so I had to force it in. So now I realize the mistake I made when I forced the battery in for it to work while it did (thus stripping the tank's thread). So it's not the eGo batteries that failed me (because both of them worked on the other Kanger T3D tank with the smoothol liquid), it's the one with the Midnight Express liquid. I guess I'll have to buy a new tank, then.
