Just joined and thought I'd say hi!

Been vaping for 11 years but primarily on box mods and Geekvape Zeus tanks (Best I have found for me) with their proprietary coils.

Was on holiday with my step brother who introduced me to his RDAs on a Geekvape Athena Mechanical Squonk and RTA on a Hammer of God 400 beast.

He gifted me his Athena at the end of the holiday and I've since picked up some bits - primarily a Vandy Vape Pulse 3 Squonk and a couple of Recoil R3 RDAs.

I've done a couple of builds that seem to be working well and am now looking for a decent RTA to try that on my normal box mods.

Anyway, that's me (for now).

There is top air and bottom air. Bottom air is more compact, so the tank is bigger for the same size atty. they generally have to have a valve though, or the vacuum is lost and there is a big mess. They’re generally also sleeve valves which work better on thick liquid. So if you vape high VG they will work better. Top air would be things like the Zeus RTA, bottom air would be things like what I am holding. I think it is “Kanu” (they got wacky with the typography and it’s hard to tell what the letters are)

Wow. I trimmed my beard today and I seem to be shedding.

Welcome to ecf
My current go to rta is the dead rabbit solo; top air, single coil, I use 2.5 mm coils. Dead easy to build and wick for a rta beginner; also dead easy for lazy builders like me lol. Fat rabbit solo 2 is also very good if you want a bit more of a challenge to build; dual coil , both top and bottom airflow, easy deck & wick like the dr solo.

I looked at both of those but think a single coils would be better for me. The Thunder Cloud Blaze Solo 2 looked like a pretty good option too.

Welcome to ECF!

I’ve heard good things about the Thunder Cloud Blaze Solo 2 from some friends.

I haven’t tried the Blaze Solo 2 personally, but I can comment on the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA. I’m currently running that with a single coil and love it. I personally like the control of both top and bottom airflow to fine-tune it to my liking. I haven’t had any trouble wicking it either. I will say Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA can leak when wicked incorrectly since it does have bottom airflow.
