Hello guys 'n gals
I'm new to ECF but have been vaping for a couple of years now using various products (I smoked a pipe for 40+ years before starting to vape). I have now settled on E-VIC VT controls and EGO Mega tank vapourisers (sorry for the spelling but I am English and I am also a Process Engineer so I refuse to call them atomisers which they are not).
I am advanced enough to be making my own liquids and generally vape a 8mg Nicotine, 70/30 PG/VG base with a complex coffee, tobacco and menthol flavour. I generally make 500 ml at a time which costs me around £2 per 100ml ($2.80 at current exchange rates) which is a bit cheaper than I have to pay here in Bolivia (£9 for 10ml).
I arrived here at this forum after a search for the solubility of menthol in PG as I have started making my own extractive flavours too. Menthol crystals are retailed here in pharmacies for about £1 for 10g ($1.40) and I dissolve them in PG with great success. I have made what appears to be a saturated solution with around 10g /100ml. At a 3% flavour concentration that should be enough to flavour 3 litres.
Please welcome me to your community.
