Hi all,

Just wanted to post that. Thanks for the welcome from SmokeyJoe.
Lets see, I have been a smoker since around 1983 sometimes only social but in the past few years a pac a day and more when off work.
Multi-tasking makes me smoke more??? Go figure.

So a month ago I made a stop at Discount Tobacco to get some cigs and a friend of mine there talked me into an Ego kit, along with a couple packs of smokes.
Well I was on the beginning of a journey that I knew nothing about. I was a menthol smoker, Marlboro or preferable American Spirit lights, so I was on a quest to find the same flavor e-juice. All that, caused me to purchase a bunch of juice that really didnt hit the spot, so I got online and started researching. That led to internet purchases, then I found a local vape shop and bought a Vamo. Now I was getting some vapor and I found a couple of juices I was liking. yeah... Finally
Still trying to find the perfect vape that satisfied like smoking, man I was spending money... And justifying this obession with the cost of smoking for a month.
I am OCD about rationalizing stuff, go figure.

Well I ended up purchasing a DNA30 and a Kfun started building coils. Discovered Space Jam and Mt Baker, also Halo and haven't looked back really.
I initally smoked the 2 packs I purchased when I picked up the eGo kit but havent had another smoke (analog, ha) since, a month or more.
Got worried as I found myself chain vaping when not at work, and while at work sneeking a vape here and there. So I started to think this was more expensive than smoking??? Began to wonder about side effects etc. And that led me to this forum and I joined up. I wanted to learn more.

Locally I have met folks that drip (great flavor), build mods and are into all avenues of vaping and they have all helped alot in purchase decisions, but I wanted to
talk with folks that know what really is good juice, good and safe equipment. You know experienced folks.

So where I am at in the vaping journey. I use an I-clear or Kangor Mini Pro on a eGo twist through the day. At home I have the DNA and a Nautilus also a Kfun and an MVP. I dont drip but have tried it and the taste is real good but not sure if I want to go the next step. I find I like to vape several different juices, unlike smoking. When smoking if the store didnt have my brand I would drive to the next store. Vaping I havent really dedicated myself to a juice. I have found several I really like though. Like Andromeda by Space Jam, or Moo Juice, or Malibu there are so many. I still find I like a menthol vape after dinner and in the morning with coffee the times I enjoyed smoking the most.

So I guess I have said too much, and hope these ramblings dont bore you all to death.

Again thanks for the welcome

Regards
Scott

Thanks,
Hey Philoshop I have found a lot of folks into vaping here, I never knew.
Alot are into the cloud thing and many are the xbox generation so I kind of feel old hanging with them. Ha

But have received some advice thats been helpful I bought a vamo from one local shop as I read about their VV/VW and replaceble batteries.
Then sold it to my friend at Discount Tobacco and bought the MVP which I still like alot. Then I bought the Nautilus to use on the MVP and found it came
new with a couple of bad coils, thats what led me to the Kfun. Well I got the Kfun working good and discovered a few more watts of power would really make the e juice taste better. So I was talked into the DNA 30.

With all this said I think I am where I will be at for some time other than trying new juices here and there, and hopefully getting the Kfun set up as well.
The store employees around here are all into dripping and I have tried it. The taste is great but I am not sure whether to take that step.

I just found out there was a Vaping convention this past weekend in Chattanooga. Wow this is really taking off around here. I wish I could have went.
But had to work on the house before the weather starts to turn cold.

So I have to ask, how the vaping community in your folks areas. St Paul, Arkansas and Geneva?

Thanks Adobewalls, we will have to talk for sure. I am thinking I need to get an Avitar or something. daleron and Susan both have great avatars. Now I have an old barn cat 13yrs which I could try and get a pic of and fish both would be difficult. The cats shifty and well the aquarium would reflect the flash. Hmmm

Yeah and my ex took the dog...

Deep thoughts.

Hi and Welcome to the group. I always chain smoked when I was using the internet. I started Vaping 5 months ago and have spent a lot of money on gear. About a month ago I found I had enough gear to be content. I have Ego's and clearomisers for use when out and about . I have 3 Regulated Mods that were about $75 Each[30 watts is the highest power I have] and a couple of Mechanical Mods and RTA's rebuild-able Tanks a Russian a Aqua Clone and some Genesis tanks for home use. I learned to DIY E-liquid so My cost is Minimal monthly now. I am involved in Vapers Rights Advocacy by passing on information on the internet, buy e mailing my Elected Representatives and contributing financially to VAPEAVET.org-CASAA and The Vaping Militia. I find Advocacy more satisfying then Getting the newest Vape Gear now. Glad you've made the switch!

Its really confusing to find out whats about right for you in this jungle.

I love the taste when I get my RBA's built (Russian 91, Aqua and another one I cant remember... squape?? - all clones), but so far I like the no-fuzz of an aerotank etc better.

Have some drippers too - nice tools when trying new tastes. A few drops.... try the taste.... remove cotton..... dryburn.... new cotton.... new drops. The juice lose some of its taste when used in aerotanks etc, but I still prefer that way to get my dose of nic during the day.
Dont know why - but RBA and drippers seems to give me a headache if I use them too much. Even with low lvl nicotine (6mg). Tried 36 mg on a dripper before I learned that it delivers much more compared to an aerotank. jeeez that one hurt! That was early on when I could use 36 mg.... now I'm on 12 on my adv's. 2 1/2 months, 1/3 left of nic... its NOT the nic that kept me a smoker for 27 years - thats for sure.

.... and now its me thats rambling in your thread. Sorry.... I was just going to say welcome to a fellow newbie on this site :D
