Hello, all, Im Nastasya & Im from upstate New York.
Ive been smoking cigarettes for 10 years. Before I started vaping, I would smoke a carton per week (1-1.5 packs per day) of Seneca Full Flavored 100s. I also smoked Djarum (cloves) for several years.
I first tried an electronic cigarette at a flea market booth. I was surprised at how satisfying it was, I had figured that the vapor would be like air. I attempted to pursue using these, however, I found myself confounded by all of the options and technicalities (electronics are not my forte).
I found these forums while seeking information on starting out. After reading reviews on these forums, I decided against the $80 kit I had originally selected, and instead ordered a kit of Smokeless Images Volt for $40. The e-cigs are a simple KR808(I think?) battery and cartomizer. I really like how its about the same size as a tobacco cigarette. The plain black ones I selected remind me of the Djarum Blacks I used to smoke. Id like to try other models down the line.
The longer I have had the e-cigs, the less analog cigarettes I have been consuming. I havent purchased any tobacco cigarettes; and have only had a few here and there, no more than like five a day. This is impressive, as I was quite the chain-smoker before.
Ive been ordering my liquid from Smokeless Image, however, Ive read that theirs is 100% (or close to?) PG; I would like to try some liquid that is all VG, and/or different ratios of blends.
If anyone feels like schooling a novice, some things Ive been wondering are:
With sweeter e-liquid flavors, do they use sugar or sugar substitute? If they use sugar, could it affect ones teeth?
Does VG have the dehydrating/dry mouth effect Ive experienced with the PG liquid?
This may be silly, but, will a VG liquid work alright in a blank cartomizer (with the cotton-y filter inside)?
How many times can I refill the cartomizers before I need to clean them? When I clean them, do I need to take out the cotton-y filter, or anything else?
When refilling, should I let them dry completely before consuming?
Thank you for all of your information which has helped me to drastically reduce my intake of harmful tobacco.
