Hi, everyone! I’ve been lurking for a while and figured it was time to dive right in. I’ve smoked for most of my adult (and teenage) life, and have finally found the means to quit! I had my last cigarette around a month ago, and it took all that I had in my to choke it down after vaping for just one day.

Anyone here from southern Georgia? I’m not from this area (retired military, so I’ve been all over) and I’ve never seen anyone vape where I live, although I did discover two vape shops in town. One was totally over my head, which I’m sure I will appreciate eventually, and the other only sells starter kits (I’m trying to graduate past that stage… slowly). But I have a ton of vapemail on the way!

Hi Whren, and welcome to ECF! :)

I'm from central Georgia. I'm house-bound, so I've been unable to learn about the existence or reputation of any B+M (brick+mortar) vape shops around the area.

But if you've been lurking, then you already know that this place is teeming with great people and great help for up and coming vapers. I'm sure you'll be able to find what you're looking for. And never hesitate to ask for help by creating a thread here in the New Members forum.

(Once you have five posts anywhere in the New Members forum, you'll be able to post in any of the other ECF forums as well.)

Thanks, guys! I have family in Tampa so I visit there a lot, hoping to check out some of the shops down there this weekend. My biggest issue now is finding that perfect juice! I have some that I enjoy now (and one that smells amazing and tastes like burning tires) but I want to find the ONE. I have a bunch of orders in now so hopefully I'll fall in love.
Maisiedoodle-I used to be stationed in DE. Hope this weekend's hurricane stays away!

Well, as I'm sure you know, finding the right tasting e-juice is all a matter of ... um ... taste? You know what I mean. It's entirely subjective. For instance, I'd bet my fire-button-finger that there's an up-and-coming vaper out there thinking, "I just love the taste of burning tires, but for the life of me, I can't find the e-juice flavor that really nails it for me."

Why can't he find it? Because apparently you have it. Sorry. I just had to.

It was Halo juices that got me off of cigarettes once and for all (on Jan 16, 2014). I took their Menthol ICE - which I liked a lot, but it just didn't have quite enough menthol "kick" for my taste - and I added a dash of their SubZero. One drop per mL of Menthol ICE was perfect.

I liked it, and I'll always be grateful to it for being the flavor that got me off of the road to cancer, but I knew there'd be something else out there I'd like more. Then I found Mt. Baker Vapor's Black Ice. Menthol/Mint/Blackberry. Black Ice was my first love among electric juices, and it's still my ADV.

You're doing it exactly the right way. Buy a bunch of small (usually 15mL) bottles of a wide variety of juices. Some you'll like, some you won't. But eventually you'll find your first love. And that's when vaping, for you, will go from "pleasantly satisfying" to "OhMyGodWhereHasThisBeenMyWholeLife?!?"

Good luck to you, and keep vaping! :)

Hey y'all! I'm not from here, but West Central-ish GA has been my home for the last 16 yrs. I'm new to vaping and started with the Evod 2 kit, and now waiting on my Aerotank Mega and iTaste MVP 2.0 coming in the mail. It is quite addictive! My town just got a Vape shop, but after being overcharged by nearly 20 bucks on my kit, I think I'll just buy juice from there and shop and do my research online. I was pleasantly surprised however at the diversity of customers in the shop. From sweet church going grandmas to young punks. Vaping, One Love, lol who knew? <3
