Ah, I see, thanks for that VannyPak, so I'm guessing that a cinnamon, - which by the way is a flavour I absolutely LOVE! - has something of a harsher (probably not the right word) feel to it in the throat that feels kind of like cigarette smoke? That makes sense actually, I can see why that would be the case.

And just between you and me, The Mister of the house has to come in useful for something. Right?? :D

Hello and welcome to the forum Ghostie. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are interest in eliquid suppliers I have heard good things about eliquid from Decadent Vapors in England.:)

Here are some other sites I have seen members post:

1. Paradise Vape UK
2. The Vapor Salon
3. UK Vapers for UK shops and liquid makers.
4. Digbys Juices (The Dr Jekyl and Mums Custard are rated.)
5. Kraken Ecigs
6. Vapemunki-Eliquids
7. Imported USA Juice: Spiritus Vapes (Be warned that these juices are higher cost due to import fees to the UK)
8. CloudHouseVapor - The European Source For American Made E-Liquids
9. You can browse UK Vapers for UK shops and liquid makers.

Yes, I get that, joesquid, but even so, I have to admit I am a little bit curious to know if I'd be satisfied with something even lower than 12mg. Im probably tempting fate here, but Ive so far not missed cigarettes even a little bit, so much so that I'm starting to wonder whether it was the nicotine I was addicted to, or really just "the act of smoking"?? Like, you know, something to do with my hands, if that makes any sense?

Does an ecig with 0mg still FEEL like smoking? Do you still feel something in the back of your throat? Or is it just like smoking fresh air?

Hi Ghostie! Welcome to ECF!
Yep that is me right there. I have tried to quit smoking so many times and I always went back because I think it is "the act of smoking" that I am so addicted to. I'm sure I'm addicted to nicotine too but so many times I wouldn't feel any physical urge but I just wanted to do the act of smoking. It is like it is part of my lifestyle that I can't give up.
Well last week I started researching ecigs and decided to buy a decent one (tried the Blu once and it just didn't work for me). I started vaping last Thursday and I haven't even thought about lighting up since. I still get to do the act of smoking without smoking and to tell you the truth, the flavors are soooooo much better! I got lucky and got some good flavors I like and there are thousands out there and I want to try them all!

Wow, yes, I totally get where you're coming from, and indeed it does sound like we have the "smoking for something to do" bug. I really enjoy the act of smoking, but I don't think I'm too bothered how much nicotine I get out of it, so long as it feels and looks like smoking. I don't really get any nicotine cravings either. And, I mean, sometimes if I was busy, or else just out and about, I'd go for hours without a cigarette and not really think about it, but then I'd sit down with a coffee and just think, hmm, I could enjoy a smoke with this.

Anyway my ecig seems to do the same job so I really think I'll have to experiment a bit and find out how much nicotine I actually need or want.

Welcome to ECF! Glad your not smoking anymore. :) as for lungs not dispelling liquid its the first ive heard lol i would have to say breathing treatments at the hospital that use propylene glycol are drowning ppl when they can't breathe. . . It all makes sense now. Lol naw i think the guy at the vape shop isnt clear on the layers of the lung linings wich actually break down and dispell all foriegn contaminents. the lungs excell in dividing oxygen from moisture and passing off liquids to the liver and kidneys and small micro chemical breakdown to provide nourishment to the blood. First stop after the lung breakdown procedure is effectively through the heart straight to the brain. Could go on but the Point is The lungs are awesome at dispelling liquid lol

Exactly what I wanted to know, Garry! When I later thought about what that bloke had told me I realised that there was probably something a bit funky about his 'facts' about e-cigs, but I thought I'd just check it out anyway. And wasn't that a great move, because if I hadn't been googling a few queries I'd never have found ECF now, would I? :D

Anyway since reading through a number of threads here and hearing how well people are doing with e-cigs, well let's just say that it's just confirmed for me that I'm moving in the right direction.

Totally good move glad to meet you! :) great bunch of ppl on here. I love smoking unfortunately but ive found over the last couple years that i love vaping more lol i only smoke a few cigs a day and dont really crave them except when other ppl are smoking and my vape isnt handy. No science to it for me it's just enjoyable for me, pretty good honestly from a couple pack a day habit for twenty five years to almost nothing. I hope it works out at least as good for you and better! :)

Welcome. I am new here also. I started vaping almost 4 months ago and gave up the cigs completely on August 5th. I sure don't miss smelling like an ashtray, now if I could just get the hubby to quit.

Oh I'm right there with you sweetie, I bought my e-cig last Thursday, along with a few different juices, and being such a generous and loving girlfriend I bought one for my boyfriend as well, but wouldn't you know it, he wasn't NEARLY as grateful as you might suppose!!?

Oh well, it's there for him whenever he's ready, lol

Ooh, great idea, Susie, I LIKE that, you know it hadn't even occurred to me to fill his one up with a different flavour!

And Garry I honestly thought it would be harder to get myself onto e-cigs with my boyfriend still smoking, but it doesn't bother me a bit.

Couple that small hurdle with the fact that even at work if I want to vape I have to follow the normal "smoking policy", and that means using the small "smoking pen" outside the Plant, - which actually I think is regrettable on the part of the Company; you'd think they'd be a bit more proactive it helping their employees who want to give up, rather than lumping them in with the very devil they're trying to avoid! - so I suppose it is quite surprising that it's bothered me so little.

Good job you enjoy vaping, Garry, maybe your wife will come around in the end, I hope so, for your sake. :)

i've been vaping for close to a year now, and only occasionally bum a random cigarette here and there (maybe one every month). the one thing i did do rather quickly was to gather myself a couple of batteries and tanks, so i'd have various flavors at hand for whatever one i may crave at that moment, lest i give myself too much time to think and "miss" cigarettes. now i'm just lazy and have 6 batteries/tanks/flavors in my purse at any given moment, with extra flavors and tanks on board. (because it takes oh-so-much-time to swap tanks...yeah, i'm lazy.)

but many congratulations...may things keep going so well for you and you continue to enjoy! :)
