Hi All,

Been lurking for a while, but decided to speak up finally. Started when a fellow office worker quit analogs and started vaping. Figured I give it a try since I was starting to cough alot. 20 years of analogs is enough. Started with a supplier called Smoke Tip. Got the kit, and within 2 days was ordering batteries and carts from SI. Smoke Tip was good, but was looking for more Vaper. SI has done the trick with there carto's. Still learning the ropes and trying different liquids. Ordered a second order from SI (More batteries, cartos, clearomizers things). All this and I only started 8 days ago. I thought this would be cheaper then smoking. lol

Thanks,

Chris

Congrats, and welcome to ECF! The initial investments will definitely be more substantial than that of smoking, but, once you find what works for you, the savings start to add up.

Check out my siggy banner and you'll see what I mean. This particular banner allows you to set parameters for the vaping gear and consumables you have invested in, versus the cost of smoking. You can see that, after investing a little over $450, in finding the gear that works for me, that I'm actually showing a positive balance of savings.

Welcome to ECF Chris. Once you get settled into the hardware and juice you like vaping CAN be less expensive than smoking as long as you resist the urge to try the latest/greatest. Getting there will take experimenting with different set ups, which can get pretty expensive. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. The folks here a pretty helpful.

Welcome to ECF!

than not then; their not there (pet peeve)

Anyway, the initial start-up cost might be more than you're (not your) accustomed to spending. However, over a short period of time (and assuming your batteries are decent) you'll begin to see that you're spending less than what you were on analogs. Refilling your cartridges with juices and not going overboard buying every mod you can find should leave you with more money in your pockets.

Congratulations on getting off of analogs, 8 days and you should have started seeing some improvements to health. Remember to keep hydrated and maintain proper oral hygiene.

See you around~

Thanks for the welcomes. Yeah, I figured the initial blast of expenses would slow down after a while. Kinda sold right now on the 808 from SI and there Carto's. Already refilled some and that seems to the way to go to save some cash. Got an eliquid sampler from want2vape and have been trying some new flavors. The sweet ones don't seem to stop the cravings for analogs. I guess lack of TH.

Thanks,

Chris

I'm with Nature's Encore here. I started with a v2 kit, then an Ego-T and now all I need is a provari and some boge 510 LR cartos. Yeah I use a tank setup and I have a rebuildable atty, but boge lr cartos on a provari are awesome. Adjustable settings, rock solid design, and make sure you get two batteries so you're always charged and ready to vape. I'm one of the many who found ECF after spending money on the wrong stuff, but man I've learned so much in the past 5 months!

Thanks everyone. I have 8 batteries (808) 78's. Wanted to make sure I did'nt run out for a while or I could gift one if needed to a friend. For now, I'm good with the SI 808 setup. To me it has plenty of vapor, TH, and warmth. I can't see myself going bigger right now, but my guess is that will change over time. I still think the 808 is great for traveling or went out an about in public.

Thanks,

Chris
