I smoked while I vaped for a long time. I also have Volts from SI. I was hooked on a flavor, and only had one battery, so while it was charging, I didn't have another to use.

I got another, and a few bottles of really excellent juice. I personally like the cartomizers (I just ordered some XLs from SI because the only problem I have had was that they run out kind of quickly.) I stopped buying cigarette packs, and I am going strong.

I would have to say that you need to keep with it. Experiment with flavors. Check out "Your top flavors" and other similar threads in the liquid forums. I have bought a few flavors I did not like, and I see that others do that too. (I need to get verified so I can sell these on the classifieds section.)

TL, DR version: Keep with it, and experiment with flavors!

My opinion: Fruity flavors dont do it for me. I use tobacco flavors 18-24mg. Theres no way I want a cig after taking 3-4 drags. I use starfire vv with vivi nova tank with bobas bounty juice. It rocks out hard. I spent money on egos etc ... But this vv with its battery life and how good it hits is way superior lol. Cheers to ego though .. Just dont do it for me ne more!
In the least I would skip ego twists and get a lavatube mini starter kit. Their onsale 72.00 now at myvaporstore.com It comes with two batterys ... and one lasts me a day easy. Better quality too imo

As of now I start vaping for almost 3 weeks. My first kit is Volt from SI and my favorite flavor is watermelon. Lately I find myself not so happy with fill your own watermelon with Blank carto from SI. The taste and flavor not as good as when I got a prefilled cartos from them. The different is the prefilled cartos was 12mg. but I ordered 6 mg. liquid to refill. I believed I try almost every possible way to fill the cartos. Use spin method, condom, and let it sit overnight but still the flavor nothing compare when I first started it. I find myself more and more gran analog and go. Anyone have any suggestion of what I should do or try?

I plan to order more sampler cartos, and if I like any flavor I would then order a bottle of liquid along with prefilled cartos. I check a lot of website but a lot only sell liquid without prefilled cartos. I also check V4L and I might order some from them just not sure what flavor to order just yet. I also don't want order too many liquids that I might not like either because one of the reason to start e-cigs is to save money too.

You need at least 24mg of Nicotine Juice.... (just my humble opinion)
Regular 'tobacco' flavored Nic Juices are more satisfying than 'fruity, nutty flavors & usually have better 'throat' hit.

I don't have only watermelon. I have ice menthol ry4 and a few from ECblend, so far I like watermelon the best, I like grape mix with peach too but not as much, I also some time vape menthol just to get off other flavor a while but not every day vape. I dont like cherry, chocolate and some on the sampler package. I felt that vanilla, RY4, peach, and apple are way too sweet for me.

The reason I reduce nic level from 12 to 6 mg. becuz I get quite a dizzy while vaping those 12 mg.

Hey, don't worry too much. I say that because you took the first step. They say that the hardest step for a runner is the one out the door. You've done that.

While I know you don't want to spend too much money out of the gate, I'd get yourself some flavor samplers from a few of the recommended vendors (someone help out here .. recommend those vendors that do the small 3ml bottle samplers). You can get yourself a small collection going and change things up to get a smorgasbord of flavors to keep things lively. Since you and your friends are all vaping, go in on a few sampler packs with them so you guys can all get some good testing done with splitting the costs.

To keep from "wasting" too much money, I'd get some clearos, a Phoenix or the CE3 coming out from Smokeless Image. You can try out the juices and then see what really strikes your taste buds. Also, MrOutlaw has a GREAT video on turning one of your cartos in to a drip tester. Speaking of his videos ... if you haven't watched them, do so. They are wonderful. Outlaw Vaper

Hang in there. I got my Volt and fell in love with Cowboy/Country right out of the gate. My wife is still hunting for the flavor that she really enjoys.

Good luck and don't hesitate to post back with any more questions. As you can see by the numerous responses, people will help out any way they can.

Oh, one more thing, if someone else reading this can help out with the coupon/discount thread link? I can never find the dang thing!

The problem is your nic level. You need to start at a higher level just to be sure you're getting what you need. Secondly, I would highly recommend getting yourself at least some Boge Cartomizers (about 8-9 bucks for a 5 pack - get 2 packs) and then either DIY which will cost more in the short term and then you'll spend 20 cents or less a day on juice, or buy some new eliquid from a reputable vendor. I'd recommend 18mg nicotine strength if you were a half a pack a day smoker. If you smoked a pack or more a day, start with 24mg. When you make that switch to a higher nic level you will notice a vast increase in the intensity of the hit (aka Throat Hit). I don't recommend above 24mg nicotine strength to anyone unless they were a chain smoker that smoked 2-3 packs a day.

I quit the first day I got my KGO and I never looked back. The reason why is because I got the right nic strength. You've already made the investment. Take it to the next level and get back on track. Don't go back to analogs, that's just foolish. You've already saved your own life. You're worth it.

I would second that with going with a twist, Variable voltage may be what you need. Along with some clearomizers or a tank type setup. I started with an 808 kit with cartos it worked fine for me for bit. After a while all I would taste would be burnt type taste and the cotton (filler) from the carto. I stuck with it till I got a Apollo tube which is a variable voltage with a tank and was surprise how much taste I was getting.
One plus thing that you can do is play around with different pg/vg proportions and also the nic level, as others have said.

Hope you best of luck no matter what you decide to do. Just hope you decide to stick with it for a bit longer.
I think you would be surprise at what another setup would do for you.

Get a few ego twists, they're great to finetune what you're vaping! You would be surprised what a few volts more/less do to your vaping experience

I started smoking e-cigs in february 2012 and the start was so hard. I jumped between e-cig and analog version for a long time. But when i got my first Variable Voltage mod made by my friend, the analogue version just left behind. I also belive that DIY liquids are way much better than the ready ones.

I hope you the best luck! btw sorry for bad English.

Start up for vaping will be more expensive. No getting around that. I've been vaping two years now and the costs are so minimal. I pay so much less to re-up my juice and occasional battery or charger when they go on the blink. I strongly suggest before you go back to analogs, try some cartos - carts are really a pain in the rear. I almost quit too when I first started because they are a nightmare constantly trying to keep them wet enough for a decent hit, and like you, after three weeks in I just couldn't taste them. That is when I landed here, and started reading a lot of threads where I heard about cartos and now they have way better then when i started, and that was like a huge door opening. YOu almost might be like me and the flavors just won't satisfy your urge. The throat hit on flavors, for me even two years in, is not strong enough. I vape only menthol juice, but was not a menthol smoker. Experiment with some menthol and tobacco juices for awhile and up your mg of nic. Six mg's is very low. I have been on 18 mg's for two years. I might taper down eventually, but it gives me the throat hit and nic level that satisfies me and satiates the urge to smoke.

I also second the recommendation to go with a Twist and a clearomizer. I still use an ego-t, as I only part time vape now but do plan on getting a twist, but I think if you try different hardware and different juice you will walk away with a different experience. At least don't give up until you try some of the really great supplies that are out now.

One more tip, if you are going to go the route of pre-filled cartos, try out Joye 510 cartos prefilled with 18 mgs of menthol or non menthol. That was what kept me off of analogs. Great throat hit, not real pricey. If you like them, I can tell you various places to get juice to refill them that is the same thing they are filled with a bit cheaper than cignot.

Don't give up yet! You have to toy around with a few different things to find what is your sweet spot.

DITTO to this! The only reason the standard and ego t does it for me as even when I smoked, it was in the evenings only, so I am not a hardcore vaper, but those who are can do very well with the twist, and like you, fruity flavors do not cut it. IF that was all I had to choose from, I would have quit a long time ago.
