Previous history;smoked for 22 years, hand rolling tobacco and last summer took an absolute aversion to old cigarette smoke (mid-life crisis)

ego-twist, vamo v5 & kangertech min-pro, vanilla copper+ zenith v2 sub ohm rda, Vamo v5 +kangertech Giant (retired).

My new purchase is the rba Orchid V4 clone, design looks good and I am looking for advice on what to power it as the vamo has limited ohm capability and wattage.

I was hoping to get something small, variable voltage and hopefully something like the vamo v5 or do I need to go for the box type power units?

Thanks in advance for any neat suggestions.

Hi WattWick,

I tried the RDA and hated it, messy and wasteful of juice I found, the tank system is the way forward for me and I find it quite cathartic building coils when they work well. I am really just looking for a quality VV mod that is sleek like cigar and smooth like panther:blink:

I am thinking about the Cloupor Mini 30W as a possibility..., I'm not digging the box look though.

The VV market seems like it's evolving every day. Not easy keeping up. Fortunately I'm quite sure we have some members who know all there is to know about them. Just hoping some show up soonish.

Considering your position, we may have to charge consultation fees and/or trade info for favorable e-cig legislation. Just some tax relief would probably do. ;)

You can always build above 1.4 ohms so it works on your Vamo. I always build around 1.5 and LOVE the flavor I get. Otherwise, if you're going to get something new, I can tell you both the IPV Mini and the new iStick 30w are outstanding devices but for different purposes. The iSticks is great for an out and about vape as it's small and light. But larger attys sit very oddly on it considering it's size. The IPV Mini is larger and requires an 18650 battery which is a boon for some. I use it with my Kayfun and Erlkonigins. The iStick 50w is dropping really soon and that promises to be a stellar device. I'm sure you'll get plenty of additional suggestions as well.
