Thats because the two dont have a very good voltage/wattage control, so its not precise and arent exactly the same output. So you will have to play around to see what works for you. Plus, you have different brand tanks and coils that are also not the same.

Get your self BVC coils for aspire tank and stick it on the iStick. It will be perfect combo of both worlds.

Right, I took your advice and now have a VapeOnly ET-S tank 1.8 ohm that I bought today, and i like the build, and the vape is a wee bit different compared to the Aspire BDC, primarily the airflow is a touch higher volume on the ET-S, and I have to say I very much like the draw and the smooth vape.

I think this recipe is drawing me towards the Nautilus Mini with a stainless steel tank mod so I don't break my investment. Adjustable airflow, a larger 2ml tank with BVC coils seems to be the direction I'm headed in.

The guys at Prince Edward Island's 902 Vape showed me how the coils work, and I learned quite a bit, and I bought my second citrus flavoured ejuice called Bloody Orange by Darkside Creations, and while I was hoping for a more "Orange" tart cirtrus flavour, I found it works really well when blended with a stong flavoured "Canadian Tobacco" that I no longer care for, that is, until I added a wee shot of the Bloody Orange to it. Now I can see myself using up the rest of my full 30ml of that by mixing it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

The Emow tank seems to pop and I draw some raw juice as well, just bits of it. Am I doing something wrong?

That usually means that the coil is getting too hot. Two things to try: either lower your voltage (or wattage, if you are using that), or what I do with some juices is to pulse-fire. By that, I mean press the fire button for just a second or two, then let go, and repeat. That keeps the coil from getting too hot.

Hope it help for you, and Welcome to the forum! :)

I bought some replacement 1.8 ohm coils to replace the 1.5 that comes with the EMow. I'm hoping that will fix it and give me less burn taste.

I love the precise machined build quality, but have issues with that atomizer.

Right, I just swapped out the 1.5 coil in the emow and put in a 1.8, and it's running cooler and working much better.

Thanks for the advice.

I now have three tank varieties:

Aspire BDC
  • Glass tank
  • Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC)
  • Bottom Dual Coil (BDC)
  • Drip Tip (Plastic)
  • 1.8Ω Bottom Dual Coil (BDC)
  • Aluminum tank shroud
  • Non-Adjustable air flow

Kangertech eMOW
  • Glass tank
  • 1.8Ω Bottom Dual Coil - Horizontal (BDC)
  • Stainless steel Shroud and machined body
  • Stainless steel tip
  • Adjustable air flow

Vape Only ET-S
  • Glass tank
  • Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC)
  • Bottom Dual Coil (BDC)
  • Drip Tip (Machined metal chromed)
  • 1.8Ω Bottom Dual Coil (BDC)

I listed these in order of purchase.

My least favourite is the most expensive of the lot the Kangertech eMOW.

  • it has a relatively small tank
  • the airflow seems either "on" or "off" with not enough friction or detents to stop the ring from spinning while resting in your pocket or being handled
  • adjustable airflow results in 2x the use of the ejuice approximately
  • The unit is messy. I pull out a tissue to clean this tank more often than any other.
  • The horizontal dual coil system pops in use and is hard to get used to for that reason
  • it is the most expensive one listed here, more than twice the price of the other two tanks

My favourite is the Mid range VapeOnly ET-S unit:

  • It holds more than a work days worth of ejuice
  • the draw is a bit less constricted than that of the Aspire BDC
  • Easy to fill, with very little mess
  • Drip tip works well
  • Build quality has night tight tolerances
  • seems durable enough to take a bit abuse without breaking on the first accidental drop
  • Draws like a hard drag on an analogue cigarette
  • vapes very well on low wattage, so conserves battery like
  • Smooth vape due to the coil resistance

And now I would like to try a Nautilus Mini as it has a good build quality (I'd want the stainless steel tank mod), uses BVC coils, and is compatible with the two other tanks for coils, and I believe has adjustable airflow...

That being said, I find myself traveling to work with all three heads, Canadian Tobacco (ewwww!), Lemon-Lime, and Bloody Orange, and changing tanks and using all three by the end of the day for variety.

Sooooo.....
At ten dollars each, I can buy a couple more of the VapeOnly ET-S BVC model, and have an inexpensive, decently built tank with a variety of flavours. If only they were air flow adjustable so I could open or close them up a bit as the mood hit, I'd be set.

For now. lol.:D

I can see myself buying a set and having them in a rifle bandoleer slung over my shoulder.

“Cigarettes? We ain’t got no cigarettes! We don’t need no cigarettes!
I don’t have to show you any stinking cigarettes!”

:tumble:

That being said, who uses the Nautilus Mini and wants to add their :2c: about it?
