Hi there,
Firstly I'd like to say great forum!
I was browsing the net and randomly came across this forum, and having never heard of e-cigs before it blew my mind.
Needless to say a few days later my first e-cig arrived. Yesterday, after nearly 10 years of smoking, I finished off the remainding analogs (is what we call them now, right?) I had left and began the road to a healthier life with my e-cig.

My weapon of choice is a mini dse 108, which is great. However I do have a few questions for you Vets.

I smoked it rather alot yesterday, which i guess is normal for first timers when getting used to it, as it feels like a new toy. Now, late last night i noticed how dehydrated i was, sore/cracked lips etc. I'm just wondering if this is down to my e-smoking or as the weather is getting pretty cold here now, is it just a coincidence?

Secondly, how do i know when the cartridge is out?
Am I "safe" to just smoke it forever until it no longer produces vapour? I noticed the vapour was becoming a little harsher to inhale and was worried i was vaping the cotton wool type substance that the juice is soaked in to.

Also, i was just curious about the health issues regarding vapour. I know a few friends have had water on the lungs from inhaling too many bongs, i was just wondering if anyone has heard of somthing similar from e-cigs?

Well, Hi again and thanks in advance if anyone answers these. I'm off to browse the forum more and learn about Dripping as this seems the best, most cost efficiant way to keep on the e-cig track :]

OK
Not familiar with the 106 model, but here is some more lingo on here to go with "analogs". Cart = cartridge and carto = cartomizer. Just so you don't get confused reading all this stuff... :2cool:

EDIT: And I would also strongly consider getting some cartomizers. Carts do not last that long before having to top them off. The initial few hits using the atomizer/cart combo are good - but it is too much of a pain for me. Carto will last MUCH longer before it is out...

Welcome to ECF and sounds like you are off to a good start. Vaping is very dehydrating, so make sure you drink lots of water. Because it is dehydrating it won't cause the water in the lungs, so that is not a concern. When you start to get that harshness, drip then, that means that your atty is getting dry. Have fun with your new toy!!!!

Welcome to ECF. Yes vaping is a bit dehydrating, drink more liquids and you'll be fine. Water in the lungs from vaping? I only vape around 3 ml of juice a day so if my body can't handle that much I've got other problems. When the flavor starts tasting harsh or burned top off your cartridge or cartomizer. If you don't have a bottle of juice, get a few. There's lots of juice vendors on the ECF supplier list who have flavors far tastier than what's in prefilled cart's. You can customize your flavor and nic strength too. Good luck and post back if you have any more questions.
