Hi - been looking to quit for years now and was ready to give it another shot when a guy at the bar is pulling at a Vapor King while my wife and I were going outside (20 degrees!). The guy hadn't totally quit smoking, but had cut down from 2 packs to less than 1/2. So, I ordered the Vapor King starter pack and some parliament cool carts. Got it Friday, started using it Sunday and have yet to have a cigarette (tues afternoon) I know it's a short time, but this thing really is a great substitute! I really think I can do this pretty easily now. The hard part is finding the right flavor/concentration. I started at 24mg and it seems OK where I will only vape as often as I would have normally smoked (1 every half hour or so in the evening on weekdays) , but I wonder if the flavored carts (with nic) give one the same "smoking" satisfaction?

Great Site!

Hi and welcome! Many people start with tobacco flavors and then move on to fruity, candy, ect flavors also. I smoked for 33 yrs. and get great satisfaction out of vaping anything chocolate. :) I think it will all depend on your sense of taste (which will probably change the longer you go without smoking). Hope that helps and glad you are here!

you must be talking about "'cartomizers" ?
they are the cylinders that have the atomizer and filler in one piece... the filler is saturated with juice of various flavors.
there are other ways to vape, but i guess your question is - do you get the same satisfaction as smoking a cigarette...?

Any way you do it, how or what you vape with, getting the transition from smoking cigs to ecigs is tricky.

I just pushed through it, working with different nic % juices, different attys, cartos, .. i now use the "drip method" where i drip juice into an atty for best flavor.... but it's not the same as smoking..

there's pros and cons.

i guess all i can tell you is, if you want to quit smoking, you have to find the best way to vape and consider it worth your time... it doesn't work for everyone. Most of us here just LOVE vaping.

otherwise, just go with a patch

Absolutely! I vape 24mg from Vapor4Life and these flavors are my current favorites - but your tastes may be entirely different.

Wow Coffee
Wow Pancake
Wow Black Licorice
Wow Peppermint
Wow Mango

I'm a former Parliament smoker and I started out vaping Virginia 36mg, but I quickly discovered that the non-tobacco flavors taste much better!

Welcome to the forum.
I was able to drop a 30+ year habit in less than a week. I was a Sherman and winston smoker but find more pleasure in the flavored, slightly sweet juices. Nothing tastes like a cig so why bother trying to duplicate it. I find myself vaping alot but it's not the ritual smoking was and I don't have to go outside anymore.

Thanks for the kind words and advice! Yeah, I guess I don't smoke for the tobacco flavor, but I figured I'd try what was supposed to taste like parliaments first. I'm very happy so far and I can see saving lots of $ as well, even If I buy and dispose of the cartonizers. I guess it's even more economical to refill the cartridges, eh?

Cartomizers are economical and user (beginner) friendly. You can refill them too. You can get them filled or empty...

I am also looking forward to saving money at least once I get past the "searching for the best flavored juice" phase. :) It won't be hard to save money versus $8.50 a pack I've been paying.

I do enjoy the tobacco flavored juices I have tried. I am very surprised that I really enjoyed some menthol cartomizers I got - I never liked menthol cigarettes. I even really liked a blackberry champagne juice I tried. I was completely shocked just how bad a "real" parliament tasted even after a day of "vaping" different juices!

Good luck!

my two cents. i use the 555 juice ,you may give that a shot if your taste buds are new to the ecig thing. i get it from lite cigs in pa. so it is fast shipping and the price is right at 10 bucks for 30ml. lasts three days of chain vaping for me.
you might want to get blank cartomizers as you can fill these over and over. i get coolcarts from vapor for life, they seem to have the best quality control of the blanks i have tried. one blank lasts about three days and they go for nine bucks a pack of five, but i never pay that much as vapor for life is always having discount sales. last shipment of blank coolcarts was forty percent off of nine bucks for a five pack.
just kick back and enjoy the ecig experience. i think you will do just fine and don't sweat the transition from tobacco to e juice.
good luck.

OK - can I refill the spent, prefilled cartomizers? I use the V4L Cool Carts. If so, how many times? can you also replace the stuffing? I am looking all over the forum for these answers and I'm sure I'll find them, but there are so many models and methods. I'll head over to the V4L forum for brand specific stuff, I guess. Thanks!
