Hi there, new vaper from Northern California. I didn't know about this forum before I got my first ecig but I am now a happy DSE-901 owner.

I am a dj and spend a lot of my time in bars. I've been able to "quit" smoking many times in the past but always fell back into it immediately anytime I went to the club and had a drink or a couple of beers. I turned to vapor after two friends of mine in the community quit smoking cigarettes for over 3 months using an electronic cigarette. Its only been a week since I started vaping but last night was the first night I went to a bar, sat outside where others were smoking cigarettes, and didn't have one in MANY, MANY years.

Anyhow, pretty stoked on vaping and this forum. I've ordered some juice from several different vendors and I'm really happy to be entertaining vaping as a way to quit smoking I have never tried.

I've also noticed after getting mine that vaping hasn't quite hit mainstream. People everywhere I've gone look at me funny and ask me wtf I'm doing. . . Lots of analog smokers at the resturant I work at, now they are all curious. I'm having a FUN time with it!!

The majority of smokers at my work were not interested about e-cigs no matter how much I talked about them, now we are getting designated smoking areas. After talking with HR I persuaded them that e-cigs are okay anywhere, now people I usually never see wait to talk to me lol.

Like you, I knew it was going to work after have a couple of beers and hanging with smokers and I was just happily vaping away with no urge to have an analog.

Its weird. . . I had some triggering thoughts (almost feelings) of wanting the hot tobacco smoke in my lungs but having the e-cig in my hand REALLY helped. Whenever I've stopped smoking in the past it was ALWAYS being around other people smoking when I caved. I never broke down when I was by myself and drove to the store for a pack unless I had already have a few the night before at the bar.

Being home alone and removed from other people is not really a good way to live your life and its not very sustainable to deny yourself the pleasures of being out with friends, even if they smoke. With the 901 I'm feeling good to go and its an automatic conversation piece, another bonus!
