Hi there my father told me to join this forum so here I am. My name is Candace, live in Colorado. Just got the e cig as a present from my dad. He was so excited to give it to me that he couldn't wait till Christmas. Today is day 2 that I haven't had a cigarette. :) I'm very excited to learn more about the ecig and try different things

Hello and welcome Clsander21!:) You're off to a good start here at ECF. I was referred, last year, by my cousin. I never ever thought I'd one day completely quit smoking but...as you can tell by my banner I have! I recommend getting 5 posts under your belt so you can move more freely about the forum. The stickies with forum rules and other information are invaluable. I hope, like me, you learn to love vaping more than smoking!

Way to go!:toast:

Edit: I forgot to mention I smoked 2.5 PAD (packs a day) of Mar___bor_ 100's for many years and cigars as well.

Hi Candace, welcome! Your dad sounds like a great guy -- awesome gift! What kinds of ecig did he give you? Im doing the same this year for my mom and my brothers -- hoping they can quit smoking just like I have!

Have fun exploring the forum--there is an answer to every question you could possibly have here, and lots of answers to stuff you never thought about! Plus everyone is very friendly :)

Thank you all for the welcomes. I couldn't really tell you how many cigs I smoked a day. I'm guessing around 10-13. I also wasn't expecting to quit. But once I found out that my dad was quitting I decided it was time for me to quit as well.

That's good - strength in numbers right. I was absolutely not planning on quitting until a friend asked me to try hers one day. I coughed, just like I probably did when I first started smoking, but after a few hits, all was good. Literally, two days later I went to a local shop, picked up an ego-c starter kit, and when my last pack of cigs were gone, I switched to vaping - been 2+ months now and I am quite content. GL to you and your father.
