Hi all. I have been following this forum for a month now. After seeing the tons of useful info on here, I decided to sign on and join the community. I started vaping about 6 months ago. I was still using nasty cigarettes. I ended up dropping those things 2 months ago and haven't looked back. So I became a serious vape head. I upgraded my setup from a cheap pen that I bought at a convenience store and got an Itaste 134. Absolutely no comparison. So a few weeks after that I got an Itaste VTR. I love that one too. But I have decided that smoking was cheaper. Simply because now I have started collecting mods and tanks. LoL!! I recently got a kayfun Lite Plus. Rebuilds are Greek to me. Wire diameter, how many wraps, how to get the coil to the desired ohm. But with some digging here, I'm sure I will find the answers.

Welcome, Haylon!

Congrats on the switch and on joining the club :)

With your regulated mods, you'll want to keep your KF above about 1.2 Ω, since that's a fairly common low Ω shut down for many of them. I generally make a tensioned wrap of 30 gauge Kanthal A1 on a 2 mm shaft for my KFs, as I like the way that performs. 8 turns will come in about 1.9 Ω - but you do need to measure it before firing. Any mistakes there and you might be looking for a new mod. Or fingers. (Well, regulated mods are supposed to shut down on a short, but..... ) Three are many ways to build a KF, so don't take mine as any kind of gospel!

Sure, there are some initial start-up costs, but once you're past that, it really can be a lot cheaper. And definitely cheaper than chemo! :vapor:

to ecf Haylon357. Congrats on the vaping. So glad you stuck with it. Only thing that has ever worked for me so I love it. YouTube has helped me so much with rebuilding. There are some great ones on the Kayfun. I can comprehend better when I see it done. Of course there are always some pretty wonderful people here that can also help you. Don't be afraid of it. I am proof that it is pretty easy. :D Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing some of your builds. :)
