Newbie, wanted to get some info after the FDA decided to ban JUUL devices and pods. I might have to get info to make a customized vape kit.

I use JUUL and other than stocking up, which can't go on forever, it's either a customized vape kit or go back to cigarettes (or stop smoking).
Hi and welcome Balph.

So you are vaping to try to stop smoking? I think that's what I'm reading.

"...stocking up, which can't go on forever..." If you're speaking of stocking up on Juul, there is a stay on the FDA's ban of it, so it will be around at least a while longer, but there are more effective ways to stock up, and IMO Juul is an expensive way to vape. I would say you need a starter kit that includes two batteries to rotate, recharging cable, glass tanks, spare coils for your kit. I think there's some agreement in this forum that Smok is not the most reliable brand. Eleaf is my favorite, but I quit smoking with Ego-T, then the better Ego twist. Most of all, you need to stock up on nic base, as much at a time as you can afford, and as much as you have space to store. Flavorings are on the more fun side of experimenting, but wherever you start, you'd better start now.

I wish you the best of vaping, and hope you can leave cigarettes behind.

Juul pods are very expensive compared to how most of us here vape. Look at Innokin. I use the Sceptre and Kroma-z pods and the Coolfire Z80 kit. Just add whatever juice you want.

And welcome!
And make sure that the juice is strong. I switched from Juul and started at 24 mg.

Hi Bliss Doubt,
Thanks for the information.

Yes, because of JUULs, I rarely smoke cigs anymore. The only time is when I am out on town and I bum a cig from a friend after a few drinks.

I am not educated in DIY vaping kits. JUUL pods are more expensive than DIY kits but since I am not an expert in DIY, I chose to buy it for convenience.

If JUUL goes off-market because of the FDA, then I might have to do more research and create my own kit.

Thanks for the hints. I will take a look at it and ask any questions about DIY kits if I go that route.
