Hi, today let's take a look at the Fat Rabbit 2 Sub-Ohm-tank sent to me by Hellvape. I will examine in this Test each of the characteristics that distinguish this vaporizer. I hope that at the end of this reading you can understand the product, and therefore decide whether to invest in it or not. As always, my opinions are free and based on my personal experience.

►Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2; First Impressions:
Just over a year has passed since Hellvape marketed the Fat Rabbit Solo RTA, so the Chinese company has decided to follow up on this "Dual Airflow System" project by presenting the Fat Rabbit 2, this is a Tank with replaceable heads dedicated to the new users who want to start the adventure in the world of vaping. A very important factor when choosing a new Sub-ohm-Tank is its size; Fat Rabbit 2 with a diameter of 25mm is adaptable without protrusions to the majority of Mods, however to remain in the large Hellvape family (as you can see in the photo below) I find the combination with the "Hell 200 Dual Battery" Mod extremely pleasant.

►Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2; Exploded view:
For cleaning operations, Fat Rabbit 2 can be easily disassembled in all its parts, as always in Hellvape products, the threads are sliding and precise, so you can just as easily reassemble the Fat Rabbit 2.

►Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2; Dual Airflows:
Hellvape sent me two different colorways of Fat Rabbit 2; one is "Matte Black" and the other is "SS". In the images below you can see a dual independent airflow control system that is adjusted up and down as well. Just below the top cap is the first of the two AFC (Top air-flow) ferrules, well braked and with rotation stops. The ferrule has 3 slots 10mm wide and 2mm high each. These slots channel the air towards the resistance side. On the lower ring (Bottom Air-flow) we find three other large slots like the previous ones. The lower ring has rotation stops and also in this case the rotation of the ring seems to be well braked. The lower airflow slots direct the air under the coil.
The Top Airflow + Bottom Airflow combination is technically the best solution to invest the surface of the coil with air as widely as possible. Furthermore, this double solution offers the user various adjustment combinations.

    ►Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2; Refil:

The 810 drip-tip has no external sealing rings, the sealing ring is directly positioned inside the Top-Cap. The Top-Cap has a knurled external surface to facilitate its opening at 1/4 turn. The 3 large refill slots allow you to insert up to 5ml of e-liquid (domed glass) into the tank.

To replace the glass, unscrew the base while holding both the upper and lower parts of the tank firmly in your hands. The lower base where the glass rests is knurled on the outside for a better grip, it is also internally threaded to house the tank structure. The lower base inside has 3 gold-plated internal pins for better electrical transfer to the coil. On the bottom of the base the 510 thread houses a gold plated non-adjustable pin.

The one-piece central structure at the bottom houses the coil and on the perimeter you can see the end part of the 3 air passage slots. The coil must be inserted with a simple pressure.

►Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
When it comes to atomizers with prefabricated heads there is nothing complicated to learn, just the correct initialization of the new coil and its replacement when necessary. In a Tank with replaceable heads one of the main problems could be the availability of the coils on the market, but Hellvape has intelligently created its P7 resistors with the same measurements as the GTi Coils by Vaporesso which are the ones that can be installed on iTank, therefore P7 Coil and GTI Coils they are perfectly interchangeable, this is great news for the vaper's.

    Hellvape-Fat-Rabbit-2-16.jpg

On the occasion of this test Hellvape kindly sent me two packs of P7 coils, these packs of 3pcs each can be purchased as a spare.

    Hellvape-Fat-Rabbit-2-17.jpg

For this test I used one of my favorite liquids from TOB (Hypnos) 70/30 with 3mg/ml of Nic.
    • Mesh Coil P7-01 0,15Ω KA1 (60-70w) & Mesh Coil P7-02 0,2Ω KA1 (50-60W):
These two coils are quite similar to each other, they are both excellent, however for me the 0.15Ω one offers slightly higher performance and that is the one I will describe. With a fast firing rate at 60W the perceived flavor is very good. The vapor is not too hot and rises softly towards the mouth without splashing. I found my sweet spot at 65W with both AFCs wide open! Starting from 60W the shot is direct and compact towards the lungs and the shot is very rich and concentrated. The quantity of steam emitted is abundant, but more than anything else it is the flow of steam drawn in which seems particularly profitable and with little dispersion thanks also to the combined and super-precise regulation that both AFCs allow to obtain. By closing the lower AFC and leaving the upper one open, the hit to the throat increases exponentially. Otherwise the extraction becomes freer and more fluid with less blowing in the throat leaving the lower AFC open and leaving the upper one closed. The intake noise with a deep and quiet tone is never annoying. Both coils take you to a world of dense clouds and excellent flavor. I was truly impressed! But after all, I expected these excellent performances because I had already tried these P7 coils from Hellvape during the launch of Hellbeast-2-Tank.

In conclusion Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2 passed the exam with flying colors; it does not have the liquid blocking system to change the coils with a full tank, but it has flawless operation of the 2 airflows. I find it suitable for all vaper's who want to achieve the best performance obtainable with a tank with pre-packaged heads, don't miss it!

    • Thanks to Hellvape for sending me Fat Rabbit 2: for the review:

    • Thank you for reading.

Question thou, same as me i remember you reviewed the Hellbeast II,so how does this one compare? is it better or just different?
I already own two Hellbeast II but the size of this one along with the top/bottom airlfow intrigues me hehe.

    Thank you.
Hellbeast 2 (sub-ohm tank) is top afc only, Fat Rabbit 2 includes both top and bottom airflow. Fat Rabbit 2 has more air flow and you can adjust the throat strike as you prefer by having the option to use air only above or air only below, or in combined action.
