Hellvape Trishul v2 Semi-Mech mod

Hellvape's Trishul v2 has a diameter of 27mm that tapers to 25mm, the mod has a nice no-nonsense appearance with a fine trident engraving and beautiful aesthetic workings all along its body.

The tube is made of high quality naval brass, the activation button uses a system equipped with a silver-plated stabilization spring, the excursion of the button is regulated by a system with two very powerful magnets made of Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB ), the ARC contact is made of copper.

Shenzhen Hellvape Technology Co., Ltd after updating Trishul V2 Mech mod with this innovative button, has transferred this interesting technology to the new Trishul V2 Semi-Mech Mod version.

Trishul V2 Semi-Mech Mod has an internal chipset for safety protection but offers the possibility for its (experienced) users to quickly transform it into a Full-Mech Mod.

In the case of a Full-Mech use, it is necessary to be attentive to the OHM laws, so I recommend using it in Full-Mech mode only for expert users.

Trishull v2 Mech and Trishull v2 Semi-Mech Mod:
The dimensions compared to the previous device are practically unchanged if we exclude an increase in height of 5mm due to the presence of the Chipset (removable) or the Full Mech thickness.

One of the graphic motifs that struck me and that I like is the special processing with "fins" in imitation of a heat sink, the shape of this tube narrows in the center with a form factor that I would dare to call an hourglass.
Towards the bottom there is an eye-catching logo with three spear-point grooves and a finely engraved trident, when using Thrishull v2 you need to get used to the Fire button under the base.

On the top they are shown; the name of the device (Trishull v2 Semi-Mech), the legal mark and the disposal logo, in the center is obtained the thread of good smoothness to screw the Tank, there are also three small ventilation holes so it is better to pay attention to any liquid leaks.

The floating activation button automatically adjusts the battery excursion, the button bears the HellVape logo and three vent holes for the cell.

Trishul V2 Semi-Mech Mod can even contain three types of batteries: 18650 with adapter, 20700 and 21700.
The direction of insertion of the pole (+) must be facing upwards.

Trishul V2 Semi-Mech Mod by default contains both the chipset and the Full-Mech Mod adapter, so you need to choose in which mode to use the device.
Mode Chipset (Bypass):
After removing the Full-Mech Mod adapter, with the chipset module inserted it is possible to use the device in Bypass mode with all the necessary safety protections.

Mode Full Mech Mod:
1. Unscrew the Top-Cap from the tube counterclockwise
2. Press the chipset assembly down through the 510 thread to pull it out
3. Insert the Mech Mod adapter (included in the package) into the Top-Cap
4. Screw the Top-Cap into the tube
5. The Full Mech Mod is operational

* HellVape instructions and warnings for a correct use are very detailed, however the use (Full Mech) requires experience and deep knowledge of the OHM laws for your safety.

These images show the exploded view of the activation button with its components, the equipment includes a plastic tool for maintenance or disassembly of the button.

1. The two powerful magnets are made of Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB). Neodymium magnets are distinguished from traditional ferrite magnets for a remanence and a much higher coercive force than classic ones.
2. The silver plated stabilizer spring (for better conductivity) is inserted horizontally and works on the side surface of the key.
3. With the semi-assembled button you can see the silicone gasket dividing the power contact from the arc transfer contact.
4-5. The fourth and fifth images show the top of the arc contact of optimum size to ensure maximum contact with the battery pole.

Button assembled:
The key with "constant contact" operation is quite hard to activate due to the contrast of the very powerful NdFeB magnets, but this guarantees you great safety with a very sudden return to the off position when you stop pressing it.

Conclusions:
The threads flow well, the finishes are up to HellVape's standard, the shape is comfortable, the feel of solidity as well, it's not a cheap tube, the weight highlights it.
Cleaning and maintenance operations are facilitated by the fact that the tube can be completely disassembled both in the upper and lower part, given the presence of the ventilation holes also at the top and the possible infiltrations of liquid this is good news!

I find HellVape's choice to build the Thrisull v2 so that it can accommodate the performing 21700 cells to be shared. With a 21700 cell you get great autonomy especially with MTL tank, of course this is a device that perfectly hosts lung tank and rda with diameters from 25 to 27mm, however I have tried different MTL tanks from 22 to 24mm with good aesthetic results.

One of the most important details for the safety of the Full Mech Vaping is the activation button, in this case I can say that the HellVape one is well made, has copper contacts and flows well, when released it returns to its place with reassuring energy , I established a good feeling with him as soon as I got used to his "hardness" which comes from the strong contrast of his really powerful neodymium magnets!

Of course, in addition to the use of perfectly preserved batteries, with consequently suitable resistors, I recommend not to use atoms with slightly protruding pins or with springs, because the pin could re-enter and therefore send the threaded part of the tank in contact with the battery pole generating a short circuit.

In Full Mech mode this item has a good boost, during the tests with suitable battery and resistance I often dropped below 40% of residual charge without experiencing particular drops.

Trishul v2 semi Mech Mod by HellVape is certainly interesting for expert vapers who love the philosophy of mechanical systems, but thanks to the possibility of using the supplied circuit it is also interesting for those who do not want to give up safety protections.

With the chipset installed, Trishul v2 delivers the power in Bypass mode, when the battery is charged it has great reactivity, then, as happens with these systems, the power drops as the cell is discharged while, remaining safe.
