Hello dolls, I've been trying to register here for about a week. Apparently site thought I was a spammer?! :( I digress..

About a month ago tried a Blu disposable at a party. Thought to myself wow, that's not bad! Decided to go by a starter kit. Actually, I really liked it. I know everyone on here says it's pretty much garbage, but I really wasn't unhappy with my blue experience. My first tobacco cartridge lasted 5 days and the battery one. Cherry cartridge lasted three. After a week the pack charger stopped holding a charge and I am sooo disappointed as I was loving my cherry crush so now back on analogs! I am probably a 3/4 pack a day smoker, just for some background. Anywho after googling reviews found this site and knew I'd probably upgrade soon but I just have noo idea where to start, nor what all the lingo means. After stalking this newbie thread I found two possibilities: 1100mAh Twin EGO-CE4 Black Starter Kit with eGo Case - Cuecig.com and this $18.81 EGO-EVOD 5-in-1 Rechargeable 650mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - double e-cigarettes / black / 2.4 (Which should I pick?!) Also any recommendations on reliable e-juice sites would be helpful (that are quick too! Leaving town Saturday)

There is ONE vape store in my town that I've not yet had the chance to visit yet but honestly I can't see them having much but I could be surprised. Any SIMPLE advice anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. So far all the stalking has been very helpful (since I've been unable to post) and I muchly appreciate ya'll! Thanks loves!

Brick and Mortars are great for folks looking to chat about vaping and to sample flavors, but if you have the patience then you need to be ordering online for the best savings. Both of those packs will really suit you as a noobie, and between the two batteries, you will have plenty of vape time throughout the day. The evod tank would be more ideal, as top-fed whicking is pretty much meh.

The only down-fall of those is the lack of what is called variable voltage (there is a knob on the bottom of some that can spin). You may want to browse around for a kit with a spinner or twist, that allows you to adjust the voltage. Some liquids vape better at different watts and you become limited if you cannot adjust the voltage. This means it is whatever resistance you use with a 3.7v battery.

Hello and welcome :)
Blu is good for what it is...a start into vaping...but unfortunately it is not really a quit smoking, it's more of a test the waters with (A pricey test the waters)

quick notes
vv = variable voltage, a must have :D... everyone's taste is different, every juice tastes different, every juice delivery systems (cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks, ect) tastes different at different voltages so this is nice to have
mAh = battery life, the higher the mAh the longer the batter life
vw = variable wattage, I'm not to sure on this one...some say a must....I donno seems like a gimmick to me but then what do I know I'm still a noob myself
pv = personal vapor (your e-cig, or other battery styles)

So you've posted about ego style batteries so you are ok with it not looking like a cigarette? That's the first and hardest step :D so congrats!
Keeping in mind that vaping (we are not smoking ;) there is no tobacco, no smoke, just vapor hence vaping) is all about your personal preference....I say splurge on a good battery customized to your liking (color, style, ect) and then you can go cheap for accessories by buying cheap knockoffs from fasttech to try different things to figure out what you like without wasting a ton of money.

I suggest a variable voltage 1300 mAh Spinner it should last you all day long maybe even longer ;)
they tend to run about $25. I got mine from AltSmoke.com - eGo Spinner Variable Voltage Battery and then the usb charger from Fasttech https://www.fasttech.com/products/1270407
And then I would suggest a vivi nova (top coil tank) and an evod (bottom coil tank) to see which style you prefer and now you have yourself your own personal "kit" in your own color choice all for less than $40 ;)

as for juice, what is your taste preference? There are tons of vendors out there. Let us know and maybe someone can help point you in the right direction.

[edit]just keep in mind with fasttech that they are the walmart of vape gear and can take forever to receive product from, but dirt cheap prices on authentic and knockoffs with no shipping and handling fees....

I'd get one of the ego kits with two batteries form Fasttech.com. Inexpensive, easy to fill and clean, and a lot better than Blu.

For juice, look around for sample packs, sales and stuff from various vendors, and try a few from Fasttech too, see what you like and go from there.

If in doubt, ask questions, odds are someone here has tried it or knows about it.

congratulations on quitting. if your leaving town saturday I suggest you order everything tomorrow morning and hopefully the companies will ship around 2-3pm tomorrow evening. If your going to use eGo batteries you might want to go with a 1000+ mah kit. two batteries is almost essential to you sticking with the vaping and not going back to cigarettes. You need backups for your backups. For juice, the suppliers that advertise on this forum are great. MrsTsBakery, momandpopvapeshop, fuzionvapor, azurevaping, vaporbomb, coppercreek, and moreee! :) Get yourself an eGo kit and some juice stat! And don't be shy when buying your atomizer heads. Whether your going with cartomizer tanks, Kanger T3s, T4s, evods.. Get at least 5-6 and a few of the replacement heads for whichever head you get with your kit so that when the coils do gunk/burn you can replace them without waiting for more to come in the mail. Don't be shy when ordering juice either. Sample packs are a good choice for new vapers because you dont know if you want to vape fruit flavors all day, bakery flavors, or tobacco flavors. Sweet or Tart or Robust. So try them all. Most people vape 3-4ml per day, so keep that in mind when ordering juice. a 30ml bottle wont last too long. Good luck on your vape journey! :D

The Cuecig kit that you linked to is the kit that I purchased a while back. It's a decent, basic starter kit. The included batteries are listed as 1100 mAh but that's questionable because they don't last as long as an 1100 mAh battery should(at least the ones I got). I'm sure they are knock-offs. Mine charge up in about 1 to 2 hours and last about 3 to 4 hours. 1100 mAh batts should have longer charge/usage times. I don't know if they made a mistake or what, I never pursued the matter. When I got the kit I didn't know any better anyway. The batts are still working though, after 3 months.

The CE4 clearomizers that are included are just okay IMO. They are the disposable type but can be cleaned/rinsed to extend their life. They are a popular, first-time clearo with mixed reviews. I have since moved on to Kanger T2s and EVODs.

The other kit you linked to at FT(Fasttech), is most likely a knock-off kit too. With knock-offs it's a roll of the dice quality-wise, some are good, some aren't. FT has many items that are knock-offs as well as some genuine, name brand items. Many threads here about FT so I won't go into detail. Also, FT is a Chinese company and their products ship from Hong Kong so if you need your items quickly I'd look elsewhere.

I'd go with the Cuecig kit. It comes with a 10ml bottle of e-liquid so upon it's arrival you have everything you need to start vaping. In spite of the "iffy" things I mentioned, it's still a decent starter option.

Good luck!

Most recommended kit on the Forum:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Recommend two Spinners and two evods. Add juice and ready to rock and roll. Literally any flavor juice, at any strength will work with this kit. Lotsa happy vapers with this kit. You can spend less, fairly easily, though. This kit will spare you the trouble of having to upgrade your ego/stick batts later. The other alternative is two of the iTaste 3.0's, here:

iTaste VV 3.0 - Variable Wattage Device - Pearl Chrome | Variable Voltage | MODS | iVAPE

Add a couple of evods, use coupon code "itastevv" for a 30% discount, and you have the form factor of the ego Twist and the power and features of the Vamo. 800 mAh will last 4 to 8 hours each and they can be recharged by usb, so very good at work as well. Never have to upgrade these. These are current gold standard in stick batteries.

Good luck and best to you!

Good call. Following the reviews, Rainier is a more likely candidate.
Agreed!! Just got some for a friend who's been vaping the Cherry Crush...and he's more than happy with it!!
He's refilling some Blu carts with it for now....but methinks there's an Ego Starter Kit in his (near) future!!;)

OH, but if someone could recommend a Marlboro Light flavor, I'd really appreciate it. I remember something Tampa maybe? But can't remember what site. Thanks again guys! Order for the cue cig kit placed with white peach en route! Now just gonna make my virgin vapor order :) Yahoo!

I have never tried it, but some say unflavored liquid taste close to a light cigarette.

I was kind of like you. Blu was my gateway to vaping. I will say that I still keep my Blus on me most of the time though. What I've found is going with an eGo kit is a great way to start. Also you might want to consider looking at refilling your Blu carts with some Johnson Creek juice (buy the Red Oak line; works much better for Blu carts). I know Blu gets quite a bit of backlash here because it's owned by "big tobacco", but I've had much better luck with Blu carts that were purchased directly from Blu. Never had an issue with their customer service either.

That all being said, you'll have a much better experience with your eGo stuff, while saving a boatload of cash.

Does anyone have a recommendation for substituting the "loved cherry crush"? Because the Blu cartos are likely not 808 threaded (not that you'd want to buy them anyways); they appear to be M401?

I think they are 510 threads. Good on Blu for that much.

I've never had luck with cherry flavored juice so no comments...
