Well I got my Grand! No batteries yet :( But I do have a few questions if some of you would be kind enough to help.

I bought a 2.0 ohm atomizer. The lower the ohms, the hotter it will burn, correct?

I have read about blowing out the atomizer. I am guessing that you remove it from the Reo and blow thru the drip tip to clean it out?

When you have a juice loaded how do you try another juice easily? Blow out the atomizer and drip new flavor directly onto it?

I bought a Cisco 510 atomizer, The cartridge comes apart. Does the part of the cartridge that the atomizer is in come off the atomizer for cleaning? If so, what is the best way to take it apart?

If anyone has a thread saved for the best way to clean the atomizers, can you please share it with me?

Thanks in advance to everyone for their help here, hopefully one day I can return the favor.

You can actually just drip some new juice in the catch cup to sample new juices. When you say "the cartridge that the atomizer is in" do you mean the blank cartridge that comes with every new atomizer? If so, that piece is just pulled off if you want to blow out your atty. I usually just throw them out since I use drip tips.

Correct.

Yep...blowing out your atomizer into a paper towel helps clear some clogging.

You can do that or switch out the atomizer, or drip directly into the well.

The metal sheath around that atomizer is not supposed to be removed. The plastic cover with the small hole in the end is just the mouth piece and can be replaced with a "drip tip"

I will let another expert take this one. I only blow until its too clogged, then I boil in water, let cool and blow again. Then after that doesn't work, we drill out the holes right above the threads to let more air in.

I hope this helps! Welcome! :)

Yes, the lower the ohms the hotter it will be, and the shorter its lifespan will be.

2.0 is a very good place to be with the Reo. Here is a link to an excel file that shows the relationship between resistance and voltage. What matters is wattage. That's what the spreadsheet file shows. Here's a link to a screenshot of the same file in case you don't have a spreadsheet application on your computer. Most people like to be in the 6.x watt range. With a Reo, a 18650 3.7volt battery, and a 2.0ohm atty/carto combination you are right in the "zone". Tastes vary.

As far as cleaning, I mostly use cartos and just pitch them when the performance falls off. But an ultrasonic cleaner works wonders on atomizers. These things are also good on jewelry, eyeglasses, and misc small metal parts. You don't need a fancy one. A place called Harbor Freight has them for less than $25. Kinda handy to have around. Using cheap vodka in them is great, if you're cool with that.

Other than getting the ultrasonic cleaner, just soaking them in really hot water works pretty darned good.

Ditto the above recommendations to get a drip tip...

Enjoy your Reo!

I see a lot of pictures of Reos without the metal sheath on the atty and a tip over the atty only...? Thanks for your help.

Those are most likely 306LR attys your referring to. They have the same threads as a 510 but require a different drip tip made specially for them...

I've always been a 510 kinda guy but on my REO's I prefer a 1.5 ohm 306 atty. They are easy to remove the bridge and wick if they develop an off taste, they're easy to clean, and a spare debridged 306 fits nicely inside the Grand next to the cap of juice bottle. The only downfall to the 306 are the drip tips IMO. It's been my experience that only the translucent tips fit the atty tight enough for my liking.

Thanks everyone for your help! A lot clearer now (I think). Like the 808 stuff, I am sure I will get it all figured out pretty quick. I still have 2 things I am wondering about.

1. Is there any real difference between a 306 and a 510 atomizer?
2. Some people talk about an ultrasonic cleaner for atomizers. Will it work on a 510 since the atomizer is inside the sheath?

First YES, there are differences in a 510 vs 306. The 510's have a case built "in" or over the bridge and coil. The drip tips for these slide down into the "cover". The 306's do not have a "built in" cover. The brige and coil are exposed, and the drip tip slides over the outside to form the cover. 306's are smaller/shorter and produce IMO, warmer vape and more vapor...Below are some pictures first, of a 510, then a 306 so you can see what I'm talking about....
Yes, the ultra sonic cleaners will work on both types. I prefer to clean mine with hydrogen peroxide, cheap, and it works great. Just blow out the atty from the threaded end really well before use...
