hi new guy here, this is my first post.
well ive had my pv from bestecig.com (be103) for 2 weeks. all was good until this morning, when i started getting a horrible chemical-like burnt taste. i didnt do anything different than i had been normally when this taste started coming through after about 4 puffs every time i used my e cig. doesnt matter if i use a prefilled cart or stuff it with new polyfill. ive tried dripping directly to the atty and the taste still comes back within a few puffs.
i really have to keep this short and sweet because im running late for work, but i will report back ASAP!
basically, what might be my problem??
ive found this thread which may contain my answer. however, im so new to this that i dont understand much of the "lingo". all these different mods and the different components people talk about is like a foreign language to me. just looking for a little guidance to help me figure out my problem.
thank you!

I in no way claim to be an expert but I've experienced what I think this twice. The first time my filler material was tucked down too far into my cartridge. I refluffed the filler with the lone end of a paper clip pulled out (yeah, not a techy! lol) and made sure when I filled with juice that it just looked wet but not puddled (if that makes sense) I also dropped a couple of drops of juice directly on the atty to make sure it was good and wet - but don't flood it.

The other time I think I tried too many flavors on my atty and it rebelled! I ended up washing it out by letting hot water gently run through it - blew gently on the screw threaded end to clear the excess water and let it dry over night. The next morning I "reprimed" the atty with 4-5 drops of juice and loaded up my cart and was ready to go.

Some juice tends to build up in the atty in my opinion. I've noticed that some flavors tend to linger even when I've changed the cart. I now have several in rotation - one I've specifically marked for mint since I could still taste mint even when I moved on to several other favors!

Thanks for the reply.
I did try rinsing my atty with hot water and let it drain about 8 hours. I also tried a brand new atty which still produced the same burnt taste after a few puffs.
Someone at work suggest that im refilling my carts wrong. I have been just pulling out the filler and dropping my liquid directly onto it, then smooshing it back into the cup. My co-worker said i should remove the whoole cup, not the filler, and drip onto the filler while it is in the cup. He said my liquid is being used up too quick, and thats why i get the burnt taste. Anyone want to back that up?
Also, i bought a big bag of polyfill and have been using little bits of it to replace the filler that came in the carts when it seems spent. Is this ok?
And last, how will i know enough is enough when im dripping onto my atty? I dont want to flood it or not use enough!
Thanks again!

You may want to check that the filler isn't "bunched up" anywhere. If it's too compressed, it won't wick onto the atomizer properly. The atomizer will run dry, and thus burnt taste.

Make sure the filler is elongated and evenly distributed. Just pushing it into the cart in a ball may result in it being too compressed.

As far as repriming the atomizer and how much to use... I don't know the model, so I can't tell you for sure. You just gotta try it. Start with 4 drops. Take a drag. If it still tastes burnt, one more. Etc.

But here's the thing. Flooding the atomizer won't hurt it. It won't vape very well for a little while, but it won't hurt it. If it is flooded, it will make a gurgling sound when you draw on it. You can either just vape through it, and it will fix itself eventually, or you can blow out the atomizer by putting the threaded end in your mouth, and blowing through it, into a tissue.

Well i am pretty familiar with that gurgling sound so i guess i may have flooded mine a few times.. Lol.
I dont like using the bagged polyfill. Ive read on here about using fluval, and i think ill try that out. Its tough not to bunch up the polyfill too much. And because i was always ripping the original filler out of the carts to refill, its getting stringy and falling apart instead of being a neat little pillow. I have a feeling that i have been refilling the carts wrong and thats why im getting this nasty taste.

I think it is great that there is more then one vapor at where you work.

Vaping is catching on.

The company i work for has a strict smoke-free workplace policy. There are quite a few e cig users just on my shift. I had been looking into getting an e cig for quite a while, but the guys i work with are the ones that really made the sale, so to speak.
