I am very happy I found this site and about ecigs.

I have been smoking marlboro light 100's for many years.

I was considering buying the Blu ecigs until I came here and noticed no one talking about them and about products I have never heard of. I dont want to wait a long time to stop smoking and start vaping but I dont have allot of $ either.

What would you do if you were me?

FYI - I live in Texas if that helps with finding the right product.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Madvapes. com has an ego ( 510 ) knockoff for 49.00 dollars and they have marlboro flavor e juice in 50ml bottles for 11.00 dollars that's the best price on Juice I've seen anywhere.... That would be a cheap way to get going on e cigs ..... Or just buy a regular 510 kit they are only like 35-40 dollars hope that helps ... Good luck

Welcome!

If you can afford it, I would go with the eGo. Cignot has a kit for $78 where you actually get 2 complete eGo's. The kits are usually composed of one complete PV an extra battery, charger and 5 pre=filled carts, but right now, their kit has 2 complete PV's for the same money.

If that's too high, I would recommend their 510 No box or 510 no box with PCC. The PCC is really a must if you get a 510 as the battery only last 3-4 hours if that long and with the PCC you can be charging one battery while you vape with the other.

With the eGo, you do the same with one huge exception. You don't need a PCC and each battery will last you up to 24 hours depending on how heavy you vape. I just had one last me a little under 24. I have my extra bat charged and ready, switch them and I'm off again. I also find that the eGo is a better vape for some reason. Maybe its the cone or maybe its my imagination but after the eGo, the 510 is just meh to me.

Cignot has not let me down yet. I usually get a "shipped" e-mail no more than an hour after I place the order and their equipment is top notch. I can't speak to other suppliers as I've not used them though I'm sure they are great as well.

Be sure to get a bottle or two of liquid. Cignot has a sampler for $5 of 3 tobacco flavors (Tobacco is one of my favs) and the Eco Pure line is awesome. Tasty Vapor also makes some amazing liquids.

I'm getting ready to dive into DIY and I'm really pumped!!!

Good luck with whatever decision you make on suppliers and PV's. I quit analogs the day I got my first 510 manual kit and 36 mg of liquid from tasty vapor and have not looked back. The thought of a cigarrete makes me a little ill :).

I started with the Joye 510 kit from cignot with the PCC, $65. Not much more than a carton of cigarettes and Orders over $59 qualify for free shipping. The night I got my 510 was the last time I smoked. After 30 days of being smoke free and just vaping I had saved over $200. I took $100 of this and ordered an ego kit from Nhaler $78 and some juice. Again...free shipping and if you use "saveinnj" you get 10% off. I love the EGO and love the fact that my 510 parts are compatible with my new EGO.

So, 30 days into vaping and I have only saved about $40 but...The savings begin now as I have enough juice, batteries and so on to last me for several months. I think the most important things for me have been the fact that I am adding days to my life, feel better and I can go into a room and not have to worry if I stink...LOL

Good Luck!

Looking back on my experience, I wish I would have started by making a mod. The box mod is easy, mostly Radio Shack parts, and can be done inexpensively. Completing a mod gives personal satisfaction. Vaping from 6 to 7 volts makes the switch more comfortable.

I so wish I was savy enough to do this. I would love to be able to vape at at least 5V but I've spent my budget on PC's, Juice and DIY so right now, that's just a dream.

I was a smoker of hand-rolled cigs for the past 40 or so years. On April 23 of this year, the postman arrived with 2 packages...........a Janty eGo starter kit and a Joye 510 starter kit. While the batteries were charging, I smoked my last cigarette!
While the Joye 510 does provide a pleasant enough vaping experience, with very good vapor production and decent throat hit, the batteries are the weak link in the system. They simply don't last long enough. The Ego, on the other hand, produces more vapor and a better throat hit, while allowing for just about all day usage from the battery.
Since that day, I have purchased the Copper R2V2 from AtmosUsa.biz and have been extremely pleased with it as well. For me, it's another step up the vaping ladder.
Just today, I received a Screwdriver MKII in the mail. This is another excellent device, producing excellent vapor using long lasting batteries.
I'm awaiting on a shipment of the Original Screwdriver from England, as I took advantage of the BOGOF offer.
This vaping stuff is a helluva lot more fun than smoking, and more flavorful as well! Good luck, and remember........battery life is key to success (IMHO). :D

My 510 kit (ordered last weekend) from madvapes was $36 including shipping. I got 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 cartridges, a USB charger, and 10ml of Marlboro 24mg juice. It shipped Monday, and arrived here on Wednesday with regular shipping. I looked around for many hours and this is the best deal on a 510 I could find. I think it's easier if you know what you're looking for. Then you can sift through the things you don't want faster. I wanted a 510 for the throat hit and the size. I wanted 2 whole e cigs so I could charge one and still be able to use one. I wanted a USB charger because I already have a USB wall and car plug, so no extra cords floating around.
