Hi. At the moment I smoke 20 Sterling Super Kings (10 mg Tar 0.8 mg Nicotine). I really want to quit, but I am a bit bewildered with all the choices. What I am looking for is:

1. Something that is similar to the size of a "real" cigarette. - I wear body armour for work and it can just about hold a box 20 Sterling Super Kings. Anything bigger would probably not fit or stick out which is a big no no.

2. I would like something that could last about 10 hours - if needs be I could have a spare.

3. I like the idea of having to use the liquid vapour - but I am flexible so I can use ready cartridges - Ideally need something that produces vapour, tastes good and gives me enough nicotine to stop me wnting a real cig.

There are so many reviews but most seem like affiliate links! I like to look of joytech eroll - but dont know if this is good or not.

Anyway, all help and advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I use V2 which addresses your first and third point, but does leave a bit to be desired on your 2nd point. I routinely carry extra batteries (1 to 2 extras) with me just so I'm not out and about and faced with situation where I have zero battery life. I like V2 and have been using their product for over 2 years. I really like their lifetime warranty (replacements whenever I need them, no cost).

But, you are on biggest vaping forum in the world, and there are many others who are likely to chime in with items that I'm likely familiar with, but that they know far better than what I can provide.

Best wishes to you in finding the right set up.

The e-roll you mentioned has a good reputation, but depending on usage might not make ten hours. On the other hand, I think they also put out a portable, personal charger about the size of a cigarette pack. You might spend a little more time looking at that. Truly, nothing in the size you want is going to last very long without recharging, and if it is charged it is probably getting ready to run out of juice.

I also wish you good luck.

If a package of what you are smoking is about the size of a normal pack of cigs there are a couple of options for you.
Option 1: Blu E-cigs, they fit all of your criteria if you get the high end set up.
Option 2: get an Inokin MVP V2 and an Aspire ETS BDC (I recomend this tank as it is mostly covered by a metal shell with 2 windows). Now you will have to detach the tank to fit the MVP and the tank in your pocket nicely. This option does not cover you cig-a-like wants but the battery will last for way more then 10 hours unless you are breathing through it exclusively and the ETS holds 3 milliliters of fluid.

Note: I only recommend the Blu E-Cigs due to them being the only cig-a-likes I have used.

Get 2 eRoll sets with portable chargers; get two extra eRoll batteries; get two extra eRoll 'cones'; get the eRoll case which holds the extra assembled cigarette; get multiple disposable eRoll atomizer heads; get multiple eRoll cartridges; get an Innokin U-can to hold more juice on the go.

For juice, the best tobacco flavor I've found is House of Liquids Guevara 24mg.

If you like the eRolls, you might later 'graduate' to a handful of 400mAh eGo-C 'shorty' batteries and an eGo-C Mega Dual Coil XL cartomizer on the go.

For home use, look at the Innokin VTR (not the MVP) with the Innokin iClear 30s clearomizer tank. Get multiple tanks, atomizer head spares, 4 3200mAh 18650 batteries, and an NiteCore 4i charger.

Thank you for the replies so far. So far, the suggestions (alternatives to eroll) are:

V2 Cigs, Blu Ecigs.

Although, from what i've read this morning - these "cig-a-likes" are not as good as fuller kits (for want of a better word). It may be that I might have to have a different set up for home.

The only reason I mention 10 hours is that is the average time of my shifts. Thus I need something (whether in the form of a spare battery etc) that if I take to work with me will last me. Normally, I can't get to a wall socket as I'm out and about, at court or in a cell area which makes it hard for charging. The size matters, as I only have one pocket where I can put my cigs.

I second StrafeMalone's Option #2. The Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 with the tank removed should be about the size of a pack of cigarettes and many many members here have said nothing but good things about it.

I was a PAD smoker for 38 years. When I made my first attempt to quit smoking I tried the Blu cig-a-like. I really gave it my best shot but it just didn't produce enough flavor and vapor for me so I put it down and continued with the analogs. They may have gotten a littel better but I certainly don't think that they have advanced far enough to match the performance that you'll get out of an Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0.

Best of luck to you in finding the device that works for you in your quest to quick the stinkies.

The eRoll (4 1/4" x 2" x 1/2") comes with a 1,000 mAh PCC that holds the cig-alike battery. It will be squeaky if the 1000 mAh will last you through a 10 hour shift. If it doesn't two eRolls should still be small enough to meet your size requirements.

I have a large pile of larger mods but my eRoll is still my goto for out and about. It has regulated power so the vape doesn't diminish as the battery runs down and packs a surprising punch for such a small device.

I don't know if the coupon code is still good but 20ROCKY used to get 20% off eRolls at Rocky Mountain Vapor.

Most people find the vape from something larger than a cig-alike to be much more satisfying. Down the road a bit you might want to consider getting something like the Innokin MVP paired with a Nautilus or ProTank Aerotank Mega for use other than at work.

This review will give you an idea of how the eRoll works.

No it doesn't, and no it won't.

The eRoll is the worse thing a new vaper should get. No better way of being turned away from vaping. The eRoll is leaky, finicky, and needs refilling every 2 minutes with a needle bottle or a syringe. But mostly, it's leaky.

My advice: get yourself 2 or 3 Vision BBC Express kits: they're cheap, come with a small 350 mAh eGo battery, a good little clearo, and a small charger, all self-contained in a small case the size of a cigarette case.

These little kits work fantastically well for the price, they're no-nonense, the clearos don't leak and perform well, and the case is nice and solid. And if the clearo dies (not just the head), you can throw the ubiquitous Evod in there, since the V-Tox is essentially the same thing.

I offer these little things to beginners right and left, and nobody's ever complained about them. Which is a lot more than can be said of the eRoll.

What I used routinely in first year I vaped, and still use occasionally is a lanyard, or actually two. Nothing in my pocket, and 2 batteries hanging around my neck, that would last a whole night out or I would say 10 hours as I've always used the longest batts available as cigalikes. This was back when I used only pre-filled cartridges. With clearos (that you refill), this isn't an ideal way to go.

But you mentioned full body armor which would seem like a pain in the neck (no pun intended) having to retrieve device hanging around your neck each time you wanted a puff.

From what you are saying, I'd consider a fatter battery than cigalike which will hold charge much longer and likely would fit in your pocket, or might even work with a lanyard as far as having backup available. Again, I'm familiar with bigger devices, but not a user like most here that are likely to respond. Keep asking questions and sharing your info regarding needs, if you feel it will help you get to ideal set up.

If "out and about" means in a car, you can recharge off your cig lighter outlet. On foot-- like the others say, some kind of power bank.

OK - read it

The Truth.

You are going to need a decent e-cig to get you off 20 smokes a day. The e-roll is superb, but it's going to send you to the loony bin very quickly. The other two are 100% a waste of your money.

"Ready" cartridges (cartomisers) are going to be a fairly bad option too.

You need a refillable e-cig. Ideally 2 batteries as well, one to charge, one to use.
Even a 650 is not going to last you all day, so you'll have to carry two or buy one BIG battery and have a 650 as your back up.

have a look on here

Myepack.co.uk

You will even find a few reviews on there from me (?!), but at the moment, the best option would be

one of these

iTaste VV V3.O Kit - Starter Kits

OR one of these

Vision Spinner 2 1650 Mah

PLUS a back up battery or a mini Protank kit.

Mini Protank 2 Kit SS - Starter Kits

I'll be back later tonight. If it looks like a cig - forget it. :)

Seriously, you mustn't've owned the same e-roll I've owned. Mine was definitely NOT superb - and that's the understatement of the year. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody but an advanced vaper who absolutely insists on using a cigalike for some reason or other. But even in that situation, I'd still recommend a 510 battery and a carto. And I know I'm not the only one who's been disappointed by this device.

I say stay the hell away from the eRoll, unless you're ready to do a lot of faffing about, and wiping juice off of it every 5 minutes.

Take this with a grain of salt as some vapers like to speak from hyperbole.

There are 3 statements there, all of which I think are perfectly honest from my perspective.

EDIT - You are a V2 user.

OK... well that isn't going to make sense with the cost of V2 in the UK. They are astonishingly expensive.

Maybe you get a better deal in the US? :)

I tried to quit smoking with a product like this. 15 a day. It failed. I would call that a 100% waste of my money.

Anyway, back on topic.

mtysocks...

The best value cig-a-like kit in the UK is probably a KR808-D1 kit with a PCC. The entire kit is £26.99.

Review of Myepack V1 Power PCC Starter Kit. | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK

I reviewed this kit. I rarely mention it, but £26.99 is less than the £49.99 certain brands will ask you to splash for the same product.
