Help addy not working

Ok so I tried to switch for the first time to a different juice. Was using PG Marl. Switched to Liquid Crystal PG Gourmet Coffee and now it makes a sound like your trying to suck that last few drops of coke through a straw. Sizzling sound but not like a burning sizzling.

Its an 801 and I can't get it to produce vape. It does heat up. I heard that if you keep getting it hot and nothing in there it will pop.. So I have stopped.

I tried a couple of methods, blowing through both ends of the atty, letting it drain over night, heating it up to dry it, but still cant get it.

What can I do? I only have one atty.

Getting a new one is not an option right now. I spent a lot of money to get this kit (didn't know you could buy in Canada) and my wife is going to kill me if I have to buy something else for it right now.

You can try sticking a pin in the little holes just above the bottom of the atty. I tried this with some of my 510 attys and it cleared them right up. Sometimes the juice will clog up those little vent holes.

Also, you might try washing them with vodka or pga or some sort of clear liquor. Then blowing them out really good.

I dont have any 801 attys...sorry. I have 901 and 510 if that would help. I dont think i have an adaptor either. Got rid of my 801 stuff awhile back.

The 801.. is it with the pen style batt or in a Janty STick or Joye stick?

IF the last - JS - then you might want to try to tighten the atomizer in a bit more - many had that problem with the V1 and 2 JS's, as did I. It sometimes still is making a connection but not good enough to vape.

IF it's the penstyle batt - check and clean your connections and threads and center disc on the atty..... Some vodka with that as well however you don't want to short out your batt so easy on the batt threads. A moist but not soaked Qtip is good.

I tried the vodka and put a safety pin through the end just a bit tho didn't go to far... it produced a tiny bit of vape (improvement but not good still). I tried it again and still the same.

What I did notice is that when I try to draw on it, the air goes back into the atty after I take a bit. Anyone ever have that before? Sort of like when you suck on a water bottle and then when you take your lips off it sucks air back into the bottle. Hope that makes sense..

The batt is fine and the atty is still heating up pretty good its just not producing any vape.

What sucks the most is I had to go buy cigs I was doing so good too.

Ok. What you describe is that there is a clog somewhere. IOW, your draw, and rather than drawing air from the outside into the atty chamber and to the mouthpiece, you're just drawing the air that is in the chamber, thereby creating a bit of vacuum so that air goes 'back in'.

Suggest, getting some clear vodka 151 perferably but any clear drinking alcohol and soaking the atty for about 1/2 hour. See if you get a colorization of the vodka while soaking and perhaps some particles too. Blowout both ends and dry thoroughly then put 2 drops of ejuice PG on the atty bridge, fill the cart and try again.

Its working great now... I soaked it in Vodka for 30 mins then did the pin thing again and it took care of vacuum problem.. I could tail pipe and it worked... but as soon as I put the cart on it I couldn't get it to work again. so I was like WTH... So I tried switching out the cart with a new one and bamb its hitting like a champ again

Thanks everyone that helped me... I can throw out this crappy pack of smokes now (throw in the freezer just in case until I can get some more atty's in reserve).

Woot woot!!! Grrrrrreat! Thanks for the more thorough description. Had to be something along those lines. And you did right on the tailpiping. Actually you can take both the cart and the atty separately and draw. That narrows it down, then work on the one that is plugged. Sometimes the buildup of fluid in the cart channels can hinder the draw as well.

I don't know exactly how an 801 works but It sounds like it was a wicking issue. Sometimes on my 510 the cart filler slips down too far and i get nothing.
