I must be the thickest newbie you have. I just read a post from someone who said they were a "newbie" and they are talking about "dual core tanks" and drilling holes. I have not the faintest clue what they are talking about!

My problem (one of them) is that I don't like the eliquids from the site where I got my "cigarette" (what are we supposed to call it, please?), mostly I don't like them because they give no description and only sell 30ml bottles so I have no clue what I am buying and then can be stuck with 30ml of it. Then the problem is I have to buy my spares from them because I don't know what is interchangeable so I am stuck with postage for the spares and then more postage for eliquids from other sites, My stuff comes from epuffer and I have the colibri, which is like a real cigarette and the only specs I can see are: DC3.7V lithium battery, length 84mm, diameter 7.8mm and weight 9g (with battery components) and this is a two part one where the "tip" is a cartomiser (hope this is right word, it is cartridge and atomiser in one) this one is rotten to refill and now I have got the Phantom (which I will tell you about in a minute), I only use the Colibri for emergencies or when I am going out. Now, I have the Phantom, only specs are:-750mAh battery 3.7 volt - I have no other specs but this model seems more like some I have seen on the forum - it is a 3piece with a 1.1ml tank cartridge and a separate atomiser. This one is really easy to fill (just as well with such a small tank!) but now I have noticed that the liquid in the tank is starting to go brown and I don't know what is wrong.

In short, apart from loads of other advice I need, I want to know a site where I can buy spares for my models, eliquid that has a description and possibly sold in smaller amounts or some samples. I am really confused but don't want to give up. Everyone on the forum seems to be so much more clued up than I am and the one I first mentioned being a newbie - I make her look like an expert, she sounds so much more into it than I am. I really want a good supplier and something simple to use. Ideally I would like to keep what I have got because I am on a limited budget. Any recommendations for eliquid would be gratefully received but I would prefer 2 or 3 from same site to save postage etc. I have tried some from Cloud 9 vaping and they have been good but still looking, I only have two flavours I like at the moment. The second thing I really need help with is how I can find out the specs for my models so I can buy spares from several sites.

Thanks everyone, sorry but this message seems so long but I find it hard to describe what I want.

Please, please help.:confused::(

:confused::confused::confused::confused: HELP!!

Hi & Welcome to ECF! I'm afraid I can't be much help, but check out this link: E-Liquid - E Liquid UK - E Cig Liquid I've never bought from them but they seem well-respected by lots of folks here on the forum.

As to the PVs (uh, sorry... that's "Personal Vaporizers", aka "electronic cigarettes" or "e-cigs") you have, if you look to the top right corner of any ECF page you'll see a place to Google words or phrases related to ECF. This will often link back to discussions here about the item you searched, and you may be able to determine which type (510, KR808, etc.) threading your PVs are. "Threading" refers to the connection between the battery & the cartomizer or atomizer, and there are several different types.

Above all, don't panic... this really does get simpler a lot faster than it seems, and every cigarette you DON'T SMOKE is a great big WIN!

Best of luck, many Blessings & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Hey knitwit, you sound like me.. completely lost :) I had to go to a store locally to talk to someone so that I could figure all this stuff out.

I'm not familiar with either of your Personal Vaporizors (PV's.. or E-Cigs) so I went to the website. Is this what you have? Phantom I? If so, I did find some info on it.

This guy did a video review on it, and also wrote an article on it. In the article he says that its an "eGo style ecig that is comparable with all eGo style accessories and had an LDC window with display information" If this is correct, that is FANTASTIC news. T his opens up your Phantom T1 to a realm of possibilities for accessories, new Cartomizers (Cartos) Atomizers (Atty's) or Tanks. eGO is pretty standard for us starters and there are SOOO many options available to us.

It looks like the Phantom T1 uses the tank systemm such as an Atomizer and a Type A tank. You can continue to use that, or you can switch to a Type B Atomizer with Type B tanks or switch to a Cartomizer (which I did). I personally had problems with the Atomizers leaking all over the place.. this is just a personal preference. You may want to purchase one of each and see what you like. I like the SmokTech Dual Coil Cartomizers personally over the Atomizer type system. Your Phantom comes with a 750mAh Battery and you may find that you will want to upgrade to something different, and if you do you know to get a eGo style type battery.

As far as liquid goes, I can't help much being that I am in the US but you should be able to use almost any liquid supllier that deals to the UK. Id go for a Mix at first, and get as many sample kits as you can. Look around the forums here too for reviews.

Since you are in UK, I would recommend liberty-flights.co.uk, they have been great for me, both the kits and e-liquid are excellent quality. I would also recommend to stick to the basics, maybe a joye 510 or joye ego sold at their site, and you should be fine. I started knowing a lot less than you do now and in Costa Rica, where no single supplier would bring the stuff here. I had many other problems including issues with customs and the Health Ministry trying to stop my kits to getting here and unwilling to even get information.

In the UK and having the variety of suppliers we have available now, you will be just fine, believe me :p

Just doing some quick googling, it looks like your Phantom is either a rebranded ego, or a replica of an ego. Either way, this is good news for you as it means that it's compatible with a huge number of accessories. Anything that has "510 threading" will be able to screw into it and should work fine.

As for liquids, totally wicked is in the uk and is pretty respected, ad well as liberty flights. Both sell 5ml bottles which are good for testing new favors you may not end up enjoying.

These forums will teach you a lot about vaping, as well as YouTube. Pbusardo and grimgreen are both respected reviewers of all things PV (personal vaporizer).

Hopefully you can get all the help you need and I wish you the best in kicking the habit!

knitwit, I'm still too new at this to answer your questions. I think every person on this forum found this whole thing quite confusing at first!

But one thing that really helped me understand what people were talking about was to go on YouTube and watch videos about assembling, using, cleaning e-cigs. Search for just about any e-cig related term on there and you'll find a bunch of videos. I could read here until I was blue in the face, but I'm a really visual learner so that helped me a lot.

I just asked about e-liquids on here yesterday...I have found there are quite a few places that sell 3mg testers, or sampler packs. Don't have any recommendations since you're in the UK...there's location-specific subforums towards the bottom of the main fora page that might be helpful too.

Welcome!
