Help-Artic tank on IPV 2 has more flavor than my Jay Bo w Cleito??

I'm running my Artic tank on IPV 2 with .5 ohm coil and the Cleito w .4 ohm which is normally perfect for me. Both have new coils and I've changed the Cleito 2xs to be sure. Both are running at same wattage. I'm vaping a really sweet strawberry and my Artic IPV has way more taste and sweetness? I got the Cleito for more taste and better airflow and now it's not even matching the cheaper run of tank and mod. I'm confused and while I'm glad I get my flavor from Artic, would like to have more flavor w Cleito.

You have to be very careful when it comes to hype regarding e-cig products. Everytime a new tank comes out, a good percentage of the community hypes it up, and its the "OMGZ BEST FLAVOR EVAR". A few months later, the hype dies down, and a new product is hyped up.

I personally never liked the Cleito. Mine never hit right, always tasted burnt. I know some who really liked it. I think the Cerakoat is a FAR better product if you are looking for that type of design.

Also, I still use the originally Horizon Arctic to this day. It was my second subohm tank ever, and its one of the best IMO. You'd be hard pressed to find a sub ohm tank that performs a lot better than the arctic.

The old adage, if it isn't broke, don't fix it :)

Yeah original y I was going for longevity of coils as I was ripping through one in Artic every 2-3 days. Thank you for the input great to see others experience with it. Seemed cool at first and then sucked. Burnt when trying to up wattage for flavor. Cool I'll check out a Cerakoat. How's the longevity on coils with that? I'd much rather hear it from somebody that's used rather than makers selling point.

My Cleito was rank. I never liked it. Until I decided to try it at a lower wattage with the airflow at 40~50%. Made a huge difference! I've also found anything above 70/30 does not wick fast enough and results in a dry hit.
Ah and not wick fast enough. K I'll try that advice too thank you for the input Mongo

when it comes to taste, it's always subjective... some flavours, both my hubby and I love, others neither one of us can stand. it's the same with tanks.

Yep, it is like that for marriages. The longer together, the more similarities between the two individuals. Eventually, they just look alike. Oh-well.

The Cerakoat is amazing. The first time I tried it, I didn't care for it. In fact, it was the same as the Cleito. I let it sit and gather dust, and then one day about a MONTH later I realized I had a whole pack of different coils then what it came with. I figured Id give it another go before I just tossed it for good.

The other coils made a WORLD of difference. Now I think the cerakoat is probably the best sub ohm tank I have.

If you decide to get the Cerakoat, make SURE you get the "Clapton X3 Coils 0.3ohm"

They last about 10+ days of HEAVY vaping. As opposed to 3-4 days of heavy vaping on the Arctic coils.

As for your coils on the Arctic not lasting long, which coils are you using? I found that the newer BTDC 2 coils last longer, especially if you get the 0.2 ohm ones. Those last about 5-7 days each, as opposed to 3-4 days that the original coils last, IMO.

Also, something I do with ALL of my subohm tanks.

After I fill them up for the first time, I let em sit for several hours. That way I KNOW the wicking material is soaked up and ready to go. Then of course I start at a low wattage, and work my way up within about 5-10 minutes of vaping. It definitely helps with having the coils last longer, and breaking them in properly.

Another thing....a big part of what MAKES a sub ohm tank is the coils. If the coils suck, the tank is going to suck, period. The tank itself doesn't contribute as much to the quality of the vape as the coils do....I've learned this over time. Therefore, it extremely important to find coils that you like and stick with them.

For the arctic, I tend to only get the BTDC 2 coils in 0.2ohm

For the cerakoat, I get the Clapton X2 coils in 0.3ohm

For the Uwell Crown, I get the 0.2 ohm regular coils

For the Aspire Atlantis, I *ONLY* get the 0.2/0.3 ohm ORIGINAL coils that are rated for 50-70watts I believe. ALL the other coils suck to me.

This is important, because anytime I've ever deviated from this, I'm not satisfied with the tanks. Its all in the coils!
