Ok so after doin a ton of looking around and reading ive widdled down my large list of mods that i want to just 2. the mods that im looking at are the saber touchvv and the provari. I need help deciding between the two because im not sure what would be best to go with as far as longevity. As far as longevity goes the saber touchVV probably beats out anything with its "button" thats more like a sensor which will never break down so ill never have to worry about not being able to vape and that does curbs some worries but the screw on the vari volt version from what ive heard DOES break down after a while and so i worry about that. The provari does have a button which makes me a bit weary , it breaks down after 400,000 presses or something and while i know that's quite a bit i still worry heavily about it breaking especially because the provari would be so expensive to replace. also as far as VV mods go i prefer the provari for its ease of use with dialing in the volts. I feel like this is kind of a silly post and that my worries about button breakdown is a bit nutty(especially because it wasn't even something that occurred to me until a video i saw a few weeks ago) but i cant help it lol so if any of you have any thoughts on this please feel free to post them.

thanks in advance

I don't have either, but I would go for the Provari. I have to admit I'd give it a little while to see if any early bugs need to be ironed out, but that's just me. The Saber Touch uses stacked batteries and a screwdriver adjustable potentiometer to control the voltage. AFAIK this is basically just an adjustable resistor that can turn the voltage down from the battery voltage and it will work just fine - it's a proven, fairly simple setup. The Provari uses a single (larger) 3.7v battery and a more sophisticated (and should be more efficient) method to achieve it's voltage range - all microprocessor controlled, voltage selectable through a menu system. Potentiometers have a limited lifespan and for that reason the VV version of the Sabertouch has only a 90 day warranty (although to be fair it looks like they are flexible on this) and it's not user replaceable. The Provari has a 1 year warranty and no potentiometer to wear out, and should really last for years.

I received my ProVari yesterday.

Haven't owned the SaberTouch VV. However, from photos and video reviews, it looks enormous in comparison to the ProVari.

The ProVari isn't light, but it isn't overly heavy, either. I can easily carry it in my shirt pocket, and not realize it's there.

It has a very solid, well built feel to it. The operation is, in a word, brilliant! Press the botton five times, menu comes on. Press it once, Pu is displayed. If you immediatly press it again, it changes to Pd (power up/power down). Simply wait two seconds after, say, Pd is displayed, and your current voltage is displayed. Quick press of the button again, voltage goes down .1. Press it again, it goes down (or up, depending on which mode you're in) again. Hold the button and the voltage will change quickly... it's all much easier to do then to write about! You do NOT need to read the manual to use this device!

I could mention the fact that the ProVari will display remaining battery voltage, or that it will show you your atty's resistance (ohm) without needing to connect it to a voltage meter, or that you can turn it on or off... but what really impesses me is the consistancy! EVERY vap, from the first one, with a newly charged battery, until the last one preceeding the battery going dead, is the same!

I wish there was a photo of the Saber Touch vv and ProVari, side by side. I believe that, with a direct comparison, and adding in the digital display of the ProVari, your decision would become quite a bit easier.

(Disclaimer: I am EXTREMELY BIASED... having just received my ProVari yesterday, and having never used a Saber Touch VV)

Good luck!

(Just watched a review again of the SaberTouch VV. Reviewer even said it's 'embarrasing to pull this massive thing out of my pocket, in public. That, plus you need a SCREWDRIVER to change the voltage? Seriously? How much less expensive it the ST, that you'd consider it over the PV?)

He, Iamjocanandian, even spoke about the slightly poor workmanship of the ST.

Hey, to me... it's a no brainer, but we're all different, and I've come to realize that my opinions don't necessarily match those of other people.
