Help changing 6v to 5v on my PT

I bought a PT at 6v and for the life of me I can not vape it. Since I can't find a 3amp adapter. I went to four different stores and no one carries 3amp just 2amp. Is there any idea what I can do, so I can vape my PT ? Also is it possible to change my 6v to a 5v so I can vape. Please if anyone can help I will appreciate it. Thank you

Need more detail on the pt. May jjust need a high wattage resistor to bring the voltage down.

Sound like you need a higher ohm Cart/Atty. A 3 ohm Cart/Atty at 6 volts will put you at 2 amps with out any modifications. Check Mad Vapes out they have higher resistance Carts/Attys for the 6 & 7 volt stuff.

I did try a 3omh atty but it still didn't work. All the usb adapters that I have seen are all 5v. This is driving me absolutely crazy. My PT was bought from ecigmods and he made it for 6v vaping. I didn't know I needed a different adapter. Now its been three weeks looking everywhere for one and can't find a adapter. I have a 5v battery that I'm using on my mod but I have to keep on charging them true out the day. I'm a heavy vapor and I kill my batteries fast. I love PT because the voltage stays consistent and batteries don't.

Looking at the ecigmods website I can't see what the difference between the "5V" and "6V" passthrough is. It's unregulated so whatever voltage source you use will give you that voltage. Right or wrong, anyone??? You should be able to use a 5V/2A adapter with no problems.
You say you are using a 5V battery in your mod. Is this the NiMH battery? This '5V' battery is actually 4 600mAh NiMH batteries in one 'package'.

Check out the Puck mod (link in my signature). You can put this together for under $10 (not including the price of NiMH rechargeable batteries that you can buy locally). I've been using Puck-style PVs (I use a 510 connection) for months and the batteries (1000mAh AAAs) last me more than 10 hours. Others have used AA (>2000mAh) NiMH batteries and report battery life as 1+ day(s).

3 ohms is right at the cutoff point for the 2 amp adaptor. The ratings on this stuff are not exact and will vary a bit (your 3 ohm atty might be a little less and the cutoff on your adaptor might be just under 2 amps). Try a higher ohm cart/atty, maybe 3.2 or play it safe and use one at 4 ohms.
