So I was looking into buying a new set up.. Before i say anything else i know about ohm's law battery safety and all that, this thread is not about that.

I really like the cherry bomber aesthetics but i have heard some off putting things about this device
(If i was to buy it i would purchase the Vceego clone)

So first off, the whole auto firing issue, is that only an issue when your not baby sitting it. For example if i live it in the cupholder of my car while i drive, is it in harm? Is it only dangerous when carelessly putting it in your pocket and new other metals.

Secondly, the 510 issues with the rda making sure doesnt touch the box.. Is that reffering to not letting the top cap/Base touch anything but the little delrin piece thats indented outside the 510.
And on this same topic does the atty HAVE to have a protruding 510 or thats not an issue. I wanted to use my doge v4 and it does not have a protruding 510 whatsoever.

Last question, is there diffrent kinds of finishes for every manufacturer and their version, because i wanted the tiffany/light/sky blue one but i find some that in pictures look completely matte (no shine) and some that literraly look like aluminium (super shiny). The reason i liked the Vceego version is because it looks matte.

Last thing with this device i would use married 25rs

Anyone who owns one or can put their two cents is more welcome too, i just need some guidance! Thanksin advance!

The auto fire issue is due to a complete circuit being made when metal from the side of your atomizer comes in contact with the metal from the box itself. You have to make sure to use the correct sized atomizer. You could also auto fire it by having conductive metal touching both the atomizer and box, say from a key chain.

A lot of people say it's a dangerous box mod, but taking the time to learn about how it works defeats that opinion. Any fully mechanical device can be considered dangerous in the right conditions.

I'd stay away from it if you're unsure, or go back to it considering it once you feel confident in using it. There's other stuff out there that works just as well and doesn't have much of a hazard though.

This thread was getting some traction a while ago if you want to read a little about the device. User Bad Ninja makes some good points that are worth reading.

Owners of it will tell you otherwise, but I'd stay as far away as possible from that device. I've been lumped into the category of not being "professional enough" to safely use the device. Of course, I have been vaping longer than some of the people who have told me this, and the box clearly has serious design flaws (or "features" depending on who you ask) that other parallel boxes don't have, so I don't know what being a professional has to do with it.

The auto firing issue happens whenever anything makes contact with both the outside of the mod and the 510 connection. Meaning, yes, you probably could safely let it sit in your car's cupholder without it firing. In a pocket, backpack, purse, fannypack, whatever, it'd be a potential recipe for disaster.

The same rule as above applies to the atty itself, because if the metal of the atty touches the outside of the box (ie: if you screw it down all the way), it's making a complete circuit with the 510. Some atties (particularly ones with slightly larger diameters) simply aren't safe for the Cherry Bomber because they can't be tightened fully without auto-firing.

You shouldn't use the cherry bomber.
unless it's the plastic one.

the trouble with the metal cherry bomber is it keeps the atomizer on positive, and switches the negative, but the metal body is also negative.
just resting in on a metal table, or a piece of foil, or if you happen to touch it with a spoon in the wrong spot, will cause it to fire.

I wouldn't have one, so I have no advice on the mod other than to say they scare me. But I will suggest you put a married pair of Sony VTC4s in any parallel box mech, vice the 25Rs. I like the thicker safety margin, I do. Never know when you're going to get a stuck button or the switch will weld closed.
