So I have been vaping for over a year now and have tried a few different ecig units there was a very simple starter battery that a friend game me when I first started vaping, could not change any of the setting on it, then went to the Variable Voltage eGo V v2 and then because of the fact that when the battery went out you had to buy a whole new unit instead of just the battery so went to the Joyetech eVic and that is what I am using now. But it has been suggested to me, that the iStick is the way to go, what I would like is to know how it performs compared to a Joyetech eVic. And what models are better then others, this way when it is possible to replace hardware I know if I am going to keep using my eVic or switch. It would also be nice to know how well it it works with Kanger tanks more specifically the Kanger Aerotank mega verses say the Nautilus Mini that was suggested to me as well as being better then the Kanger tanks.

I have both the EVIC and the iStick.

If the EVIC is powerful enough for you, use it and enjoy....

Personally, since moving up to the latest tanks, I found it wasn't strong enough. But, I can try again and do a direct comparison. The EVIC was always under the power it said it was and the iStick is mostly over-powered.

This question is coming due to my problem with flavors, loss of flavor, very bland taste from the beginning and such, started a whole thread about it, and changing to the iStick and the Nautilus Mini has been suggested to get better longer flavor so I am trying to compare, I am also wondering if the Nautilus tanks will work well with my eVic but really would be nice to get nice bold flavor lol.

I replied on another thread re; coils.

I just compared 2 mini Nautilus tanks on iStick vs EVIC. One with Tobacco, one with Citrus.

Adjusting for taste (and vapour, I guess) I am on 4.2v on the iStick with a 1.8 ohm Nautilus. I've put the EVIC on full power in both W and V setting and neither matches the iStick. In other words, the EVIC has run out of power for me.

Nautilus stock coils (BVC) vape well within the range of 7watts to 17watts. If your device can handle that range (up to 15w is enough usually) then a Nautilus is a fine choice. I've rarely ever needed to go above 13w with my Nautilus tanks, and have found that even with the most power-greedy juices 15w-17w goes 'burnt' quick.

If you want to move up to the Kanger Subtanks, then you WILL need more power than a Nautilus, think 25w-30w (iStick 30w, MVP 3, etc).

If you're desperate for flavor, you could consider RDA's and a mid-range box mod like the iStick 30w or 50w. But that's a lot of effort that you may not want to get into.

Well, to begin with, let's consider the posibility that what you are experiencing is "vaper's tongue". Due to years of smoking, you have damaged taste buds. It may take weeks, months, or even years for them to heal once you have quit smoking.

Generally speaking, the higher up the vape chain you go the better the flavor and vapor production. The juice delivery device will have more impact than the battery device.

Speaking of juice delivery devices, the cigalikes are lacking in both the delivery device and battery power. Ego's and clearos are an upgrade. Cartotanks an upgrade over clearos. New ceramic-wick clearo tanks like the Nautilus and Atlantis an upgrade over those.

Top of the line delivery devices are the rebuildable tank atomizers and rebuildable drip atomizers for flavor and vapor. However, there's a tradeoff of simplicity and ease of use vs more complicated (RBA). Rebuilding is also cheaper in the long run (wire and cotton are dirt cheap vs $3 coil replacements every week).

Have you tried a variety of different juice manufacturers? All are not created equal, and personal preferences are subjective. I suggest trying flavors from a juice tasting bar at a local vape shop.

to add to Baditude's comment. How long have you been vaping the same juice? I know after i have been vaping the same thing for a while it tends to get muted. The fix might just be as simple as changing flavors for a bit.

If you have "Need shiney new device syndrome" ( just like most of us on this forum). Then i would suggest picking up the iStick 50watt. I know 50watts sounds crazy, but you do not need to use it at max settings. You will also be future proof if you feel like getting into RDAs.

I have a Joyetech eVic (variable volt) that I bought with a Kanger Protank-2. I liked it but I wanted bigger clouds like my friends were getting with their setups so I bought a Kanger Aerotank-Turbo with adjustable airflow and a dual coil atomizer. Allegedly, the eVic will do 30watts but with the battery I have, the most I am getting is 11w. The new tank gave me a bigger clouds but it was still not where I wanted. I recently bought some 1.5ohm atomizers and tried juices with higher VG % and these are getting me closer to what I think I want. Happy to say that so far each change is getting me closer to what I want.

Agree with this. I always keep around 20 flavors around to mix things up. A lot of new folks here complain that they can't find their "All Day Vape" flavor. I never understood that. Wouldn't that get boring? It's facinating to me that as smokers most of us smoked the same brand for decades and never gave our loyalty to another company. With vaping we have the option for hundreds of different flavors.
