Every time I try a cotton wick it singes and burns with my micro coil I don't know what is going wrong.
This happened on all 3 of the builds.
Help please!

What size is your micro coil? it looks like the wick is getting chocked inside the coil. Cotton really expands when it gets soaked, even though you have plenty of liquid in the well the part of the cotton wick that's in the coil itself might not be getting enough liquid causing it to burn. You could try a thinner wick or match the size of the wick with the coil.

Bro, the wick looks way too thick. It's getting choked by the coil. What is that coil, about 1 ohm? With a micro, you want to shoot for about double the ohms your accustomed to with a standard coil and then fine tune from there.

I'd suggest a 1/16" (16 ga) thick coil of about 10 wraps (30 ga) to establish a benchmark. :)

I wrapped the coil on a paper clip but the wick seemed really thin.
What am I aiming for like thread thin lol?

I've never used nextel wick But I know there is xc and xs and one of them need to be cured in a kiln for it to be "safe". Not sure which, though. I got a hold of some Ekowool a while back though, and that stuff rocks. I still go back to cotton, though depending on my mood.

I have the kiln treated XC but I heard something about particles getting in the throat.
