Hi everybody. I have a few tanks for my provari. But for some reason i went with the bigger 5 or 6 ml tanks, that need a xl carto to be able to fit. But now im steering more towards tanks that take just regular size cartos. I have a new pro-v tank i just got and live the 3ml size. Plus its easier to find cartos for it than looking for xl's..
My question is how do i cut down my bigger tanks?? Theres a local shop near by that wil cut it down for $5. But i just want to do it at home.. Any help is appreciated.

I've read that you can get a pipe cutting tool from the hardware store to cut metal or plastic tubing. As far as more specifics, I can't help you. There's a member here who makes her own polypropylene carto tanks and cuts her tubes from long lengths of said tubing. I don't recall her name here, but she is the one who started the "lets make a list of juices that destroy plastic tanks". Contact her for what device she uses.

I have done this before with a tube cutter that I picked up at my local hardware store. It was quite a PINTA. Listen to the suggestions above and find a wooden dowel or something solid that fits nicely in the tank while you cut it. It will make things a lot easier.

When I did mine I made sure to cut it slightly longer than I needed then used a file to file it the rest of the way down to size.

I used a thin cutoff wheel on my knock-off dremel tool.... you would have to be a machine to cut it perfectly straight, so I used sandpaper to get it as even as I could. When its assembled, the cap hides the uneven spots anyway, you really need to look at it to notice. And they were only cheap-o smok tech tanks anyway.

I tried using a dremel cutoff wheel. But from the heat it melted instead of cut
