Hello all, I've been reading a lot lately about ecigarettes and how they work, etc. My main motivation is money, especially with taxes going even higher on analog cigarettes. I don't really care if I can smoke anywhere I want, though it'd be convenient in my non-smoking-friends' cars, or while raiding when I can't really take 5-6 minute breaks.

I was looking into njoy, however they are a bit pricey. With the starter's pack and 10 cartridges with s&h it was about 100$, I'm looking to spend a little less, unless someone can tell me that the njoy will be exactly what I'm looking for.

The most important things to me are, how it feels going down my throat (slight burn, same reason I enjoy carbonated beverages), the similarity to a real cigarette when it comes to how hard you have to hit it, and flavor. I smoke Marlboro Lights currently, and I'd also prefer them to taste similar.

Also it'd be nice if I'd be able to return the product if I'm not satisfied, basically if I feel the need to buy a pack of normal cigarettes within a week or two, then it's not for me. I just have a bad feeling that I'm going to want to have a normal cigarette even after vaping.

I'd definitely prefer an e-cig that looks like a normal, white cigarette.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've read many of your opinions on this forum before posting, but I can't bring myself to spend 100$ on something I might not like.

Also, kind of an off-topic question, would it be safe to vape in rain or while it's snowing? I'm not talking hurricane weather, but in conditions where you could smoke a normal cigarette.

Sorry for posting so often but I can't edit my posts. I'd also like to mention that I'd prefer cartridges over having to mix fluids, I'd just rather not worry about it.

While your preference is yours, I will say that using liquids are much more cost effective. As far as which model to get, that is a guess honestly. You may get one and it just wasnt right for you. I wouldnt give up totally though as since there are many models you may have to try a few before you find what your after.

I have the penstyle RN4072 and I didnt think I would like it due to it being the cap type I fell in love with it. It last long enough that refilling them isnt that time consumming to be a hassle.

Yes banner is wrong will fix when I decide on new quit date.

Thanks for your input. After some thinking, it may be nice being able to control the amount and strength and such.

I'm kind of leaning towards a DSE901 now. Could anyone recommend some vendors to look at?

Before deciding, I would look at threads of suppliers as well as reviews of the products your thinking about. While the models may be the same the manufacturer / supplier may change. Some have issues with one and order the same model from another and its awesome.

Another thing is order enough carts/ liquids cause during your initial usage and learning period most tend to vape more in the beginning. As with many things items can break sooner than expected but most suppliers listed here work with the customers.

I have only ordered from Puresmoker who is currently in the moving period but everything I first ordered is still functioning from 2-5-09. I have had a tempermental usb passthrough but they worked with me to get that resolved.

Take your time on choosing and treat it as an investment, no need to be hastey as most ship pretty quickly anyways.

$20 shipping from China negates the lower cost of the products. I bought one on Ebay from China and paid $10 shipping. If you have to wait a week or so to get the product and the total cost is about the same as more local sellers, then what is the advantage of it?

From what I have read e-cigarette items can no longer be sold or even posted on e-bay.

If you are not interested in a USB passthru, then I would suggest taking a look at e-cigars: NJOY NGAR. Mine uses 10430 battery (similar to AAA in size), great vapor, easy drag, and large cartridge. Plus a 1 year warranty.

Starter kit is not bad $65(use NJOY10 coupon code helps cover some of shipping cost).

The cartriges are expensive ($4 each), so the use of e-liquid is the way to go.

I would highly recommend a yeti, (joye 510). I've had mine a month now and it is working just as good as the day I got it. Jason @electonicnicstix.com has a good deal going right now. You get 2 complete cigs and 5 extra carts. Shipping is lightning fast. The 510/yeti blows my 901 away. On the con side, the carts do tend to leak a little. Remember, there is no perfecte cig..

Just my opinion,

Thanks guys, I've pretty much decided on a 901, I'll just be looking at where I can buy them from. I want a good deal but I'd rather spend more for higher quality.

I've heard the JANTY e-liquid is really good, can those be bought in the US? I couldn't find a webpage other than one requesting euros.

Any tips on where to buy a 901 and some e-liquid from would be great. I wouldn't mind waiting for PS to finish moving, if their products are truly high quality.

Also, forgive my newbness, but what does USB-passthrough mean? Does that just mean I can charge it using the usb port on my computer?

Actually I've read a little bit more, but nothing near a definition. From context it seems USB-passthru means no battery, just using a usb cable to power it. Is this correct?

While that'd be convenient for keeping my battery charged while I'm at home to use it later while I'm not, I'd still want a battery :)

Search on this site for "USB battery pack". With a pass through combined with a minumum 1000 mA OUTPUT, battery pack, you will be able to go a day or two without recharging. And as others have said, if you don't use liquid, you might as well not waste your time. And e-cigs are not as easy and hassle free as analogs. But we all believe they are 100% better for you. You basically have to experiment and learn how to use an e-cig.

I forgot to mention along with puresmoker, I would recommend e-smokey treats. I have also read good reports about vaporguys but have never used them myself.

what ever you do.....DONT buy njoy. It sucks.. I have bought 3 and returned one. One the other 2 die I will go with the 901.

Understand, It does take some getting used to. but once you do you will love it.

by the way, njoy tastes like you are smoking air. I add a drop of pure glycerin to mine though and the feel in the throught is great.
