Help deciding on some VVs

Hey, Im wondering why some prefer an eGo Twist over a eGo VV? or vise versa

The twist has some limit to where you can set the volts but with something about the same size you can get more volt options plus a passthrough.

Would it be better to get a dedicated passthrough like the mini USB VV passthrough?

Please advise

Sorry for being all over the place and not having a very organized post.. still new to this kinda stuff, reading so much its scrambling me brains.

Hello and welcome to the forum, I'm sorry but I can't help you with the pass through I have never tried one, but I do have several ego twist batteries and so far I haven't needed any more volts than they can provide, the volts you use would depend somewhat on your heads and their resistance and your personal preferences. Here is a link to a resistance/voltage chart. Helpful Chart For Pairing Atomizer Resistance To Battery Volts - Help It Broke! - Technical Issues - Vapor Talk E Cig Forum. Your battery would provide the voltage and your juice delivery system will have a resistance or ohms rating. I can tell you I really like my Ego twists paired with a vision Viva Nova or a Kanger T2 clearomizer, but everyone has their personal preferences. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in. When I was deciding on my first kit, I terribly frustrated, I was told by a veteran here on the forum that once you get your hands on a kit it will become easier. By the way do you have a brick and mortar store in your area, that would be a great place to start if you do, you could actually see and discuss your options.

Hi. I see this is your first post. I am looking for my first device and I know exactly what you mean about your brain being scrambled from all the info you are reading here. I have learned that the best thing is to find a shop in your area and try a few different devices, etc. I hope someone can answer your question, sorry I can not.

Hi Goober and welcome to ECF!

It all really depends on your vaping style and needs. If you spend most of your day tethered to a computer, a nice eGo PT with a detachable battery that allows you to charge your battery while you're vaping is a great choice. I don't own a PT because I mostly run around and I don't want to be tethered to my computer.

Ego-C Twist, Vision Spinner and/or vv eGo PT are all good choices and you need more than one battery anyway--you have to have backups for your backups. :)

As for voltage, most people vape somewhere between 4.5-8.5 watts, so all those devices will are fine.

Good luck!

Thanks for the welcomes and information all :)

Looked for some B&Ms in the area before and always got results for places not too close to home. But my gf told me of a place the other day in the city thats pretty new so I think I'm going to go check it out sometime this weekend.

I think I'm leaning towards getting the eGo VV2 w/ PT to replace my current set up for when im out and about.

But should I also get a dedicated passthrough?

I guess my only concern is about the eGos PT capability. Does anyone have experience with one? If I were to take a vape while in PT mode, am I using the battery's power or is it coming straight from the USB portion? Also curious if theres any protection on the eGo batteries when it comes to coil resistance.

Here is a link to the one I am considering.
