Help, did my vape dealer get arrested?

I know this sounds rather dumb but in Singapore vaping is illegal. And i thought that buying it through a seller who would come across from malaysia into singapore would be a good idea. He/They looked like a trusted set of dealers and i have already made payment to them to buy a smoant battlestar kit. However, on tue day of the delivery they suddenly blocked me on instagram (as we would contact through DMs) and i used a friends account to follow him but they have yet to accept his follow. Do you guys think they got caught by the feds or are they scamming ? btw their account name on ig is Vape_sg with no profile picture

Sounds like a scam to me. There are tons of them about. I'd suggest not exchanging money other than in person. Although I sympathize with the fact that it's probably incredibly difficult to find gear in your location. Hopefully you just got scammed, as I'm sure you don't want your authorities showing up at your door, I'd think that lists of buyers and whatnot would likely be turned over in that situation, etc. Probably being told by authorities it will "help" their situation.

I'd suggest not exchanging money at all. In Singapore it's illegal and punishable by both fines and jail time.

I wouldn't deal with a smuggler either, as that's intrinsically illegal.
