Could be a number of things, time to troubleshoot.

Got a multimeter or a way to check the output of both the charger and the pv?

That will help narrow down the problem.

Does the twist fire at all?

Sorry no multi meter.... at the moment i just got the blinking light of death from it saying the battery was depleted. so I went to charge it and the charger light just stays green. so the battery was working literally 1 min before i tried to charge it

Sounds a lot like the "center pin issue" some ppl have with these types of setups. It's probably a lack of contact between the charger's and battery's center pin. This is more than likely due to over tightening.

Now I know this may sound scary (and if you don't feel comfortable doing it, then don't) but it may be an easy fix. Take something thin like a small screwdriver or the tip of a knife and GENTLY pry up on the center pin on either the charger or the twist moving it outwards. It shouldn't move any more than about a millimeter or less.
I suggest going in small amounts around the perimeter so it lifts even.

You my friend are a life saver... 7 months with an ego and I didn't know that. but now its working! (goes to search for other batteries that stopped charging...)

Glad it worked!

It can generally be avoided by not overtightening atty's/the charger. Worst case just lift it back up again.:vapor:

Looks like I got beat to the explanation.

Glad you got the help you needed.

What I do to prevent this from happening constantly (because if it happens once, that pin will go back down again) I place the thinnest layer of solder on it. Once again this is a process not everyone should attempt, the solder could bridge the negative and positive connection and bad things will result. Just saying how I permanently fix this issue.

G'luck
