Wow this is why I don't buy through the internet. My local shop in North East Los Angeles warranties the battery for 3 months.

The only shop is about 30 minutes away and we went to the internet because he never had items in stock, he sold us a startup kit and juice and then never had any of the parts nor the juice we liked in stock for over 4 weeks so we had no choice but to go to the internet.

If the button won't light when pressed, it won't charge, and the only time you actually see the light blink is when you screw in an atomizer that means that the safety circuit has tripped and the ego is now forever dead. Don't throw it away though because of 2 reasons. 1: the battery is toxic to the environment, 2: if you lose another one in the future you may be able to salvage the circuitboard from that one and replace the battery which you now have an extra one of. The only problem is, depending on how charged that battery was when this occurred, the battery won't last forever without a charge. Certainly not more than a year at best. Charging a battery that has fully died (to 0v) is very very dangerous and will certainly result in venting since the protection circuit will die once the battery gets below a certain charge. Without that protection circuit the battery will overcharge and vent.

If the battery lights up when you press the button but won't vape then that means you have probably lost your positive connection. You can take it apart and resolder the connection and it will be like brand new. This process isn't easy, but if you'd like to see how to do it you can click on my blog's link below (The Vaper's Handbook) and then click on the Handbook tab and do a search for "Repair" and read up. It also has pictures.

I JUST (literally JUST) put in my request for replacement. The website says within 30 days so i clicked it and called and left them a message hopefully when they talk to me monday (the 26th 2 days after the 30 day warranty) they won't try any funny business and try to say it's past the 30 day mark, because i have email and phone proof i notified them before hand (myfreedom smokes . com) i had 2 batches (10 total) clearomizers that leaked profusely from them also, then the battery bummed out yesterday i plan to NEVER order from their again once this ordeal is over. jezzzz... talk about a freakin' headache!

I will let ppl know if i have issues with trying to get a replacement when i get a call back from them or i call them back monday.

I know it's hard to think clearly when you're upset, and when you need and depend on your gear esp. when you are new, it can be upsetting. So I'm sorry this is happening to you.

HOWEVER, you are bad-mouthing a vendor because something went wrong w/your battery before you have even contacted them to see what they suggest. You're assuming they are going to give you "funny business" and you haven't even talked to them yet. There's just so much distrust in your post, reading between the lines.

Probably over a million of those batteries are shipped to the US -- how would the vendor know a battery is going to go bad within 3 weeks? They don't.

I've bought from the best vendors, and I've had batteries go bad. My advice is to not assume, and try to build a positive relationship with a vendor. You'd be suprised how having a good attitude and just how well most of the vendors who are on ECF will treat you when you do.

As for leaking clearos, the chances that you have 10 leaking clearomizers is either you are doing something wrong (getting juice into the air hole) OR the particular brand of clearos you bought are leaky types.........what was the brand? I've tried pretty much every one.

Anyway, hope you got it resolved.
