I made a 30 mil batch of 18%nic, 50/50 PG/VG and 6% Flavor West American tobacco after my wife said she thought the 10mil batch was good. So, being excited my DIYing was going so successful I made a 10 mil batch of 6% French Pipe tobacco she LOVES, and now says the FW is "harsh".
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the "harsh" batch. I have mixed nut, hazelnut, and Anise flavors on hand as well as the French Pipe. Should I think of adding more flavors, just more PG or is it not fixable.

Thanks

Could be too much flavoring if it was good and then turned harsh, take 15ml of your batch and add 5ml of vg/pg+nic to dilute the flavoring, if it works just cut back appx. 2% on flavoring for next batch.

You could also add .5-1% of Flavor Art MTS Vape Wizard, this works with some tobaccos but not all.

Flavor West recommends 10% starting % on most of their flavors, however I have found that 4-5% works well especially with their tobaccos.

I'm confused. First you said she liked the FW american then tried the french pipe and now says the FW american is harsh. So I gather she is saying the FW now seems harsh in comparison to the pipe? If that's the case and it's fully steeped then dilute it by adding 15% VG and see if she likes it. Pipe is a milder vape then the american so this may help.

diluting it will do 2 things.

1. reduce the flavor intencity
2. Reduce the NIC content which will in turn reduce the throat hit.

I say add VG because it is milder and less harsh on the throat then PG. So adding VG will bring the bace ratio to approx. 70vg/30pg.

Yes Danny, harsh in comparison to the French Pipe. Great tips, I will try it. Also today I added 1% Hazelnut to the mix and she just tried it and says its a lot better. I mixed up a 60mil batch of French Pipe and a 20mil batch so hopefully I'll be able to let the 60mil batch steep so we can see what the difference is.
