Howdy Folks,
Ok, I'm headed from Virgina to Vegas on a trip here soon (Sunday to be specific) and would like to take my E-Cig with me. I want to at all costs avoid getting back on analogs. What are the current rules pertaining to flying with an E-Cig. How do I have to pack it/present it when asked?
Also what should I pack, I currently will be taking an eGo APV and E.T. Vision Atomizer, 18650 travel charger, small T-Type A tanks for vision and the Phoenix Drip rba atomizer.
We are only doing carry on luggage, will this present an issue?
I also have a Z-Max as well that I could swap out for PV wise if that would help any in making the process smoother.
Any help on this one is appreciated...thanks

Since I have to fly often all over the place, I carry a self-addressed, stamped box(flattened) with me at all times. You never know when some country (the USA in this case) will have some objection to whatever you may be carrying with you. At least you can send it back home and save some money. I know this is no solice with PVs in this case, but better than nothing.

I take mine with me and have had no problems. At first I used to just take cig look alikes, but have since taken ego's with clearomizer tanks. I usually take mine out of whatever bag they are in and put them loose in the tub so they are clearly visable to tsa. E cigs are allowed and this way if they have any questions, they won't search your bag since they are loose. I also put the juice in the zip lock bag with my other liquids. I have had zero problems. I fly about once or twice a month.

TSA is perfectly fine with anything bottled under 30ml. They have no problem with PVs. I actually had people ask about my lava tube knockoff when I flew. You don't have to worry about customs. Since we are flying continental US. However, most airlines that I know of does not allow vaping in flight. As well as no chewing tobacco/snus/dip. This will make it hard. Most airports are vape friendly. Especially if they have a smoking room. Vegas is vape friendly and so is SLC. At least in my experience.

Cool note about customs. Korean and Japanese customs don't care about PVs or juice. Flew with juice in my carry on and my PV on my person. With two J-tanks. A month and a half supply of cartos and a vivi nova. Not a word said. In either SLC, LAX, honolulu, vegas, tokyo, and incheon. And the sky lounge allowed me to vape!!!

DO NOT try and sneak a vape in the bathroom unless you want an unscheduled landing somewhere you DON'T want to be,,,,,,and don't mind paying HUNDREDS to get on another flight at the last minute to arrive in LAS.

taking your PV is no problem,,,,,,I just traveled with mine.

bag up all your liquids in a zip loc bag, and I think you're limited to a total of 100 ml, so plan accordingly. If you need more than that, you'll have to check a bag.

my batteries, I asked and they just told me to send them through the Xray machine,,,,,,,no problems at all, they knew exactly what they were,,,,,

your carryon still has to go through the Xray machine,,,,,,,,so any liquid in there still counts towards your 100ml and has to be in the quart sized zip loc bag :)

If I need 100ml for 5 days then there is something seriously wrong with me...I vape on average maybe 3.5 to 4.0 ml a day...5.0ml if I'm really, really stressed out. :)

Always check out custom and excise rules pertaining to your country. Just google it. You'll find out all you need to know about everything you can and can't take on a plane. Obviously any airline can apply their own rules so maybe just calling the airports and airlines you use for departure and arrival may provide the information you need to know. Airlines do not have universal rules worldwide. Plus you know better than me (i'm english) that different states have different laws.
