I think 24. Been trying to cut it back from the 36 I usually order

Per my calculator, you'll have to mix 149.7 ml of your 100 mg/ml base with 473 mls of PG or VG to get a 24 mg/ml base. Then you can add flavoring, which will further reduce the strength of your juice, especially at 20% flavoring.

To get your 16oz. of 100mg/mL (10%) nic to 24mg/mL strength:
you will need to add 50.65oz. of plain 50/50 base (no nic).

OR...

To get your 16oz. of 100mg/mL (10%) nic to 36mg/mL strength:
you will need to add 28.43oz. of plain 50/50 base (no nic).

Then, you can pour off 16oz. at a time, and add your flavoring as you normally do.

Wow it needs to be diluted quite a bit then. Im glad I asked before i ran put of the old stuff and tried vaping this! So for further reference, how much 50/50 base and how much eliquid nicotine would i need to get 16oz of juice at 36 nicotine? Not considered the flavoring just the juice...this is so confusing. I understand what i have to do with the batch i just got. Just don't want to make the same mistake again.

As you have now seen... "how much" is dictated by the strength of nicotine you are buying/using.

Earlier, you mentioned the place you are now buying from, has a 5% (50mg/mL) option:
That's what confuses me. On vendor will list nicotine levels as 12,24,36 etc,36 being high, and this place lists it as 5%,10% etc. Before my last place went out of business i used to order the nicotine level at 24 or 36.

If you buy the 5% (50mg/mL nic) in 8oz., and 8oz. of plain (no nic) 50/50 base, and mix the two together; you would end up with: 16oz. of 25mg/mL, 50/50 PG/VG nic base. This would be so close to your 24mg/mL nic, that I doubt you would notice a difference.

Excellent thank you so much for the help. Was a pack and a half a day smoker for 35 years. Thanks to vaping i haven't had a cigarette in over 6 years. Just wanted to make my go to flavor and strength myself instead of having to buy it pre made. Thanks again

Good luck, rsmith! Just remember to measure everything accurately and to label everything. You have to be careful with 100 mg/ml nicotine.
