Hi -
I bought a mini e-cig from China a couple years ago, and it didn't do the trick. Low battery life, short cartridge life, inconsistent vapor, and juice leaking into my mouth. Looking now for a high-voltage model, so I joined this forum. Information Overload!! And, just when I think I've settled on a model, it's out of stock...
Hoping one of you out there can help me get started. I an interested in one of the smaller model high-voltage units, like the Protege. I'm also curious about the BB and the GG. I would like to know the basic difference between these models, and their respective sizes.
Another issue I'm having with mods is not quite knowing what parts I'll need. Again, I'm a victim of TMI here. (This industry has exploded!)
I would like to drip, as it seems the most cost-effective choice.
I have read the really wonderful Illustrated Guide in the newcomers section, and it was helpful. Now I'm ready to buy one of these things and just need someone to suggest a list of all I'll need.
Help - I'm smoking analogs madly while researching this!
Thanks!!

Check out the BB threads in the "Altsmoke" forum, loads of pics, loads of info, specs, measurements and some initial beta test opinions.

In short, the BB will run at 3.7v, 6v and will be able to run via a USB passthrough...pretty much the complete package IMO. I don't know anything about the other model you've mentioned, I'm drawn to the BB in a big way though. :)

The SB is also pretty damn sick!!! BB, SB, & Prodigy all have the 3.7 or 6V option which is nice & versatile. If you would be happy with 3.7V (which fully charged is more like 4.2V) & many people are because batteries last all day & put out consistent amounts of vapor then your options would increase considerably to include those I just mentioned & far beyond (protege, ast, etc). I'm a fan of having the option to switch between 3.7 & 6V. SB & BB tend to run on pre-order status much of the time whereas the Prodigy you wouldn't have to wait for. Both companies producing the SB & Prodigy are in the US so shipping time should be decreased as opposed to other manufacturers.
In short, figure out how much voltage you want & go from there. From what I've gathered from reading similar posts here they're all similar & vary in appearance/aesthetics, price & function (mechanical or electrical). So really you have to juggle the available options & choose whatever you, individually dig.

BTW there's a ton of other models I haven't mentioned, sorry about that but too many to list. I advise you do your homework here & just read post after post on this very subject. You'll find a ton of info. Many others accept both 3.7 & 6, while others are just 3.7- just keep researchin' em.
See also, Screwdriver (SD), JantyStick, Chuck, GG's models, & tons & tons more!
(I felt bad only mentioning a few so this was my semi-crappy apology/explanation for that)

well I have found out that the differences between the SB & BB, besides the significantly smaller size, is that the SB's batteries will last you a good deal longer as they are bigger & have longer mAh's. The BB will only really work well at 3.7V since protected or LiFe PO4 rcr2's are nearly impossible to find anywhere on planet earth & as far as I know only exist in China from one vendor. WHat that means is that to vape the BB at 6V you'll likely be using unprotected batteries that'll have the sketch-factor of exploding, melting, overheating, or some other sort of sketch malfunction you don't want to mess with.
So, BB = 3.7 is okay (with the protected batts) & 5 with the passthrough attachment.
SB = 3.7 & 6V okay but no 5V option.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
p.s. I have the SB & absolutely LOVE IT (I also have the BB on preorder & only just realized the 6V factor problem with it).
