First off- hello. This is my first post and I'm sure there will be more to follow. I have been using Blu for 2 months and having all of the bad experiences others had and are having. I have read the forums and done some research, but am confused as this is all new to me. I need to replace my Blus asap. If I don't I'm afraid I won't be able to stop myself from buying a pack of cigs. Can anyone who switched from Blu recommend some e-cig brands for me to try? I don't mind filling my own cartridges. I don't need them to be as small as Blu, but also would prefer they weren't huge. Throat hit is most important- it's what I miss the most. Thank you for any advice you can offer!

I switched from Blu to the Volt from Smokeless Image and I love it. I have two 78mm batteries and each one will last me about half a day at the rate I vape. For the short time I had the Blu, there was one or two instances where I'd run one battery down while the second was still recharging. Smokeless Image also offers larger batteries now which can last around 13 hours or so. Another advantage of going with the Volt is that it's compatible with some gear from other sites, as it's a standard size.

You can get either prefilled cartridges or blank ones so that you can fill your own with whatever juice you like if their default flavors aren't your style. I can get too much of a throat hit from certain juices, so I'd say the Volt might be what you're looking for.

Here's their website so you can check out some of their kits. It's always recommended to get more than one battery.

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes | Wholesale Electronic Cigarettes | E-Cigarette | Best Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette

Also check out their X2 battery selections for longer battery life. And if you post a picture of yourself using a Volt in their subforum here, they'll ship you your choice of either a battery, a bottle of juice, or a pack of cartomizers for free.

Another option, if you're ready to leave behind the cigarette style PV's, is to upgrade to larger systems. I don't know a darned thing about these myself, but a veteran should be able to help you out.

If the size of a sharpie would work for you the best next step I think will be the KGO. It will give you the most options of cartomizers, clearomizers and tanks to try. In other words you can grow as you need to with a KGO. Also the battery should last you upwards of 10 hours and the kit comes with 2. Here is a link to the KGO. Other vendors have different colors too. You can check out some reviews on you tube as well. Good luck

If you need a cigarette look alike I'd suggest the Volt, mentioned above (If you go with this one get the manual battery, not the automatic). If not, I'd suggest either the KGO, mentioned above or the E-Power. Here's one vendor that sells them, but they aren't the only ones.
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - EGO E-Power
If you do get the E-Power, be SURE to only use ONE 18650 battery! Yes, you can stack smaller batteries in this unit, but doing so can be dangerous. The up side to having the E-Power over the other ones is the price of more batteries. In the other two devices, they don't have batteries that can be taken out of the device, so you end up paying more for another battery.

go with smokeless image. I went from Blu to SI and love it. You can get great starter kits from them for a really good price. Their cartos are refillable and are reasonably priced. To top it off, SI has the best customer service around.

Also, when you are ready for a bigger battery, you can purchase the X2 which is similar to a kgo or ego and interchange everything with you volt kit.

The volt batteries last me about 3 hours and the x2 batteries last between 7 to 14 hours
