Help-how much is in the syringe?

I have been using 3ml syringes with an 18ga needle. Only problem is that the marking on the syringe barrel keep rubbing off. What do you all do or is there a model that won't rub off?

I have some 12 cc=12ml ones with 18ga needle I picked up from Drs Foster & Smith. It is a veterinary supply store and syringes ship free. The graduations on mine are pretty thick I just ran my fingernail over them to see if it would scratch off easily and they seem solid enough.

Could be the size though maybe 3ml syringes have thinner graduations. I suggest you try another brand or place. Don't get PG on them as I noticed a premade nic juice I had obviously had some spilled on the outside of the label and it virtually dissolved the label markings.

I have the Monoject brand I guess it is called.

Brush over with clear nail polish?

Nope! Tape came of quickly and took more markings with it than letting them wear off.

Clear nail polish is useful for alot of things just like duct tape and nail polish remover.

Ok I cranked up the lights in my dungeon and took a close look at the Monoject brand syringes. They do look like they are "etched" or "pressed" into the plastic then filled in with black paint. These are the 12 cc ones which are the only size I have. Beware though these are used to inject animals so the needles are indeed sharp and they don't ship to some states due to nanny laws.

Past I think Kurt recommended using a blade to mark the locations on the syringe so when the marks wear off you will know where they are. I made a few batches with no problems so I didn't do it, but finally I did manage to mess up my 1cc syringe. You betcha the next will have blade marks so that won't happen again.

Yup, PG and/or VG will remove many syringe markings. Remember, these are made for one-use applications, not to last.

Keep the liquid away from the outside of the syringe (good luck!) or mark them in a permanent fashion.

I got the 1 ML with 1/10th ML measurements.

I have used the droppers, but not the syringes yet (no need, I'm satisfied with the droppers).

I got three of each, one for the nic liquid, one for the PG/VG, and one for the flavoring, so there is no need to rinse while mixing or risk contaminating liquids.

The only drawbacks are that they are only 1 ML, which doesn't bother me because I don't make batches over 10 ML. And there is no .10 measurement. Here's how I get around this: If I require 1.1 ML, I draw .6 ML and then .5 ML, which adds up to 1.1 ML.

Inexpensive, easy, safe, and made to last.

I have always used small pipettes.... I got some in previous orders for all my cosmetic stuff...LOL they do not go down to the 1/10 of a ml marking but depending on the size (1 or 3 ml) they have either 1/4 or 1/2 ml markings and they do not wear off because it is in the plastic....

You can get glass syringes with permanently fused graduations.

you can buy syringes easy from cvs walgreens ext.. or even online.. glass syringes are going to hold up the best I had one last a few years still had all markings on it when i destroyed it..

I found those syringes at Rite-Aid the other day. Walgreens would probably have them too. They are common, check pet stores and farm supply stores for regular syringes. Hope that helps.
