Help!, I fried my charger!

I fried my kr8 charger, at least I think it's a kr8. The battery has a male threaded end that is 7mm in diameter. I have a fully operational 801 charger( waiting on new atty). Does anyone have any ideas on a homemade adapter? I'm thinking an aluminium foil to increase the diameter of the threads to match those of the charger.

Is it USB and is that the part you fried? If it is an USB part is ok, then it should charge off your computer or a generic USB car charger, as in some used for iPods- mine do.

Thanks for replying. Actually I took the charger apart and soldered leads from a cannibalised USB cable directly to the appropriate connectors on the charger.
