I have just purchased my first vaping e-cig. I bought a Kamry X-6.

When I bought it that sales lady told me not to get any liquid into the center silver part..... yesterday (24 hours after getting it) the e-cig was laid on its side and liquid started coming out of the top. Now, I cannot taste the flavor of the liquid and the reservoir is getting warm..... What can I do, can the reservoir be cleaned? Am I up a creek without a paddle? Will it catch on fire??

Help Please!

    Welcome to ECF alischug.

What kind of topper to you have? Is it the x-6?

Take it off your battery and dry the off. Don't get it wet. Fire it to make sure it still works.

Take the topper apart to see that the o-rings are still in place.

Did you buy it locally to where you can take it back if you can't fix it yourself?
Maybe they will inspect it and show you where it's leaking.

I started on the X6 about a month ago (since bought an iStick, CLK! and MVP2...can resist the shiny toys)

I think if you just take the tank off, rinse it (along with the coil, the bit with the wick hanging down each side) air dry the coil and take a qtip to the part of the battery that connects to the tank, you should be fine.

I'm not a 100% on this, but I think you may only have flooded the coil part of your tank.

I've just killed 1 one of my original X6s by trying to build a dripper on it and shorted it >_<

yes it is the x6. I have what I think is the "stock" topper. (it came with the topper, I did not buy it separately)

I took everything apart last night and let it all dry out, and it is still doing it.... Ugh!

I bought it locally, and I hope they will be able to help me.

Did you get any extra coils with the kit? If you did, have you tried using a different coil?

So does it look something like this?

I doubt anything is really wrong with it; sounds more like something is loose inside.

If that's what it looks like, take it apart (whatever comes apart), wash everything with warm water, dry the wicks (you can just gently pat them with a clean towel--you don't want them waterlogged), put everything back together. Fill the tank. Store full tanks in upright position. ;)

Check your battery connection. If there's any juice in the well, clean it with a q-tip or an old, soft toothbrush dipped in Isopropyl alcohol.

If u bought it locally, I'd take it in and let them show u what to do in case it happens again. That's one of the perks of buying locally.

Even if you bought online, there's no reason you couldn't take it to a local shop. They're not going to replace a defective unit for you, but I mean, any business that's worth a damn should be willing to educate you about their products whether you bought from them initially, or not. If they do a good job, it gives them a chance to "steal" your business from the online market, and if they don't, then there are probably other shops in the area, instead...

if they can't/won't help you, then what is the point of spending more money buying at a B&M than saving money by buying online? so I sure hope they step and help!
