Thanks for all the help! A few things of note: The jacks on my Nicosticks were kind of gummed up. I'm in the electronics business, I really should have caught this. I think connection problems are definitely contributing to the problem. I'm going to buy a few good box mods (SB, Protege) before I make any judgement. Thankfully I got my order in from RMV today w/different juice and attys, I'm going to use a different nicostick until I order my new goodies.

To answer the questions above, I've been off analogs for 5-6 weeks, played around w/some 901 kits around May. I saw the potential but it was clear I would need MORE VAPOR BABY! The Nicostick helped me quit completely.

I have all the funky atomizers, I tried blowing them out and so forth. Maybe a real mod box will help.

I've become a bit disillusioned with 901 as well. The first starter kit I bought was the RN4075, and it rocked. But then I bought 901 attys from a couple of different vendors and was not impressed. Particularly the attys with the washer. They seemed not to wick well, and vapor production was lower.

I've gone ahead and ordered a couple of these: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/50983-510-disposable-9-99-scandalous.html

I hope the 510 will be more like what I'm looking for.

Yeah, I agree that it sounds like the attys are still good, just clogged. That happens to me when I mix my juice too thick. Sure fire cure,,,,,,soak in rubbing alcohol for an hour, place in bowl covered with water and boil in microwave for two or three minutes--let dry, reprime--good as new.

There was a thread (cleaning, atty mod, ???) about using a small, stiff needle to push up thru the bottom of the atty towards the bridge - yep from the bottom.

Suppose to align or open up the pathway to the cup - and allow loads of unused juice to flow out.

So if flooded and blowing out isn't helping, the maybe a poke with the pin and/or a good soak in Crest Pro Mouthwash.

I agree nubee. That method really works! Brought some of my attys back to life like a bunch of raging zombies now!8-o

The Jaaxx method of unclogging 901 attys is amazing. My attys I used it on vape so easily its like I am not even inhaling on a device. And the pics of how to go about it were very helpful. Here is the link:

I am relieved to hear others are experiencing similar troubles with the new 901 style attys. Mine are simply way too hot. So hot that they affect my PT. I am trying to find the old style low bridge attys that dont have the washer. Until then, keeping them clean with crest pro health and using the Jaaxx method on my older attys will have to suffice. I am not an electrician but I simply use automatic batteries like what came in my original kit, and I have a manual and automatic PTs plugged into a dual port wall adapter. But these new higher bridge attys are freakin me out by getting so hot so fast, its not improving my vaping experience any. I dont know why they changed them.

You may to try a real Joye 510 to make a proper comparison. It's hard to sort through all the 510 clones (new ones seem to pop up daily). Those $9.95 mini-kits may well be Boge/Dekang.

Is this the 'washer' every one is referring to?

Yes, I believe it is.

I have some of those "new" SLB 510 atomizers.
I don't like them that much.

The vapor is about the same, although it seems much cooler to me.
The throat his is less, probably because the vapor seems cooler.
Although the flavor might be just a tiny little bit better.

Some people like them.
