I am really hoping that someone can help with this problem. I am new to ecigs and have spent tons of time reading everything I can on this forum but have never once seen this problem mentioned.

Today I was smoking my new 901 manual battery and somehow the button that activates the battery got pushed down inside. I have tried to retrieve it with tweezers and a paperclip but cannot get the button out. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for any help!

I had this happen to my VX2 manual as well. Luckily, there was just enough visible to slowly scrape it back over with a fingernail. If it's too far in for this and you can't even drag it back a little with tweezers... you're probably stuck, unfortunately. :/

The only thing I hate about the vx2/j118 (well, aside from lacking a manual passthrough) is the terrible manual switch. It sounds like the 901s use the same type of hardware.

I had a while bunch with buttons that came *out.*

They are soft and will squish if you poke at them, so between the needle and the tweezers you ought to be able to dislodge it.

Just pull it all the way out and put it back in again. Needle-nosed tweezers work best. Just do it over a table so if you drop it you can find it easily--they are very small and look like a seed.

The 510 button is thicker.

Thanks for the needle suggestion liscab. I kept at it and finally got the button to come out enough to grab with the tweezers and just pulled it completely out. Now my button is slightly mangled looking from the needle tearing through a couple of times, but after pushing it back in place it all works well again.

Thank goodness I had spare batteries. I have been working on this all off and on all day.

lol. The rubber button is kind of ugly, not the whole battery. And yes it is working now.

If this happens to anyone else be careful with the needle and the rubber button. Several times I poked the needle into the button and tried to pull it out but the rubber just broke and the needle pulled through. I finally succeeded by poking through the middle of the button where the rubber was the thickest and then pulling it out enough that I could grab it with the tweezers and pulled it all of the way out. Then I just poked it back in like kcr suggested.

I wonder if a dental pick would have worked better since it is curved andsharp at the end?
