Help!! I need help in choosing the best ecig

Breaking it down:
All egics (even the cigalikes - that look like cigarettes) are made up of the same basic components:
1) battery to power the "atomizer"
2) "Atomizer" to turn the eliquid into its gas state
3) something to hold the liquid until the atomizer requires it
4) eliquid - flavored liquid to be atomized, usually containing nicotine.
"Coils", "heads" etc usually refer to a replaceable component that is basically the atomizer. after use the coils get "gunked up" and need to be replaced. these coils come in different resistances measured in ohms. The lower the resistance, the faster it heats up and the warmer the vape is. Higher ohms gives a cooler vape usually, and will allow your battery to last longer.
"Ego" style batteries are a skinny stick battery that are usually about the size of a skinny cigar. Batteries are measured in mAh - mili Amp hours. The more mAh the longer the battery will last.
"APV"s (Advanced Personal Vaporizers) are larger devices with more power for a better vape and a larger battery for a longer life. they offer advanced features such as a display to show battery life, coil resistance, allow variable voltage (vv) and/or variable wattage (vw). Some have replaceable batteries, others have non replaceable batteries.
"Tanks" contain atomizers that are user replaceable (twist the old one off and pop the new one in), though some are just throw away tanks. I think all the kanger tanks take replacement heads in one variety or another.

I would say stay away from the cigalike category.
If you go ego:
Get one that has a "passthrough charge" option - basically you can plug in a usb cable to charge it so you can vape on it while it is charging.
Make sure you have 2, with at least a 900mAh (average).
Get 2 tanks. Either of the same type or two different types to try out different tanks.
Electronics fail, and you want to stick with this and not be forced back to cigarettes.
APV: I'd say go with something with an internal battery and USB charging. Having to buy extra batteries and a charger can double the cost of your APV...
Box mod vs tube mod: all this is is shape. Box mods are brick shaped, tube mods are cylindrical.

I feel your pain. I was exactly where you are a few months ago. Its almost like everyone is talking in some foreign language. No wait....everyone IS talking in a foreign language!!! Just take a breath and take your time. I agree that you should read Baditude's Blogs! They helped me alot. Also check out a few YouTube videos. Type in something like E-cig and Beginner or 101. You'll know after a few seconds whether its worth viewing or not.
I started out with a few brands of gas station disposables, then went to an ecigs with a rechargable battery and screw-on cartridges in a few flavors from an online supplier, then to a eGo battery (or 2) and a few Evod. a miniProtank, and iClear 16 dual coil tanks. My batteries are variable voltage...I find that the "sweet spot" voltage setting is different for different flavors. I'm fine where I am ....for now. The reason this was a good progression is that I got to try different setups without alot of $$$ invested and see what I liked and didn't like about each. I don't recommend you spend lots of $$ on your first kit. I can almost guarantee that your first setup won't be your last and a big investment will be wasted $$$!!
But once you go to tanks and e-liquid from a bottle, I agree with everyone else ... what tastes good to them may/may not taste good to you! Yeah...you have to pay for shipping, but you have to be willing to try different flavors and maybe even (G-d forbid!) throw out some that taste like crap. Personally...I get mine from MtBaker Vapor. Good service, good juice.

I started a few weeks ago with an iTaste MVP 2.0 starter kit. I couldn't be happier. I just picked a few juice vendors that were recommended here and on reddit and ordered some sample packs. There is so much juice out there to try, so just start ordering from reputable vendors and enjoy. I've been thinking about starting a subscription with Craft Vapery as well to explore lots of stuff.
I would advise skipping the cigalike stage, they're not worthwhile, and instead get a pair of ego batteries with ce4 clearomisers. Those batteries usually come with USB chargers, so some liquid will see you with a complete kit. If the vaping experience seems to be for you, then you can think about shiny mods, but your ego kit will be a good standby, a reserve. Last week I took my wife to a posh hotel in London for a few days, and vaped unobtrusively on the terrace with my ego kit; my large shiny mod would have embarrassed me. I also vaped in our room, no problem.
What I would also advise newcomers is to take all advice (even mine!) with a pinch of salt, and especially to beware of vaping snobbery. Try things for youself, don't accept the consensus, and most especially ignore the people blowing at the camera in youtube clips. There are times when you just need a couple of pulls on your substitute cigarette to get some nicotine in, and vast clouds of vapour can be the last thing you need.

Egos are not bad: they are great for on the go and being discrete. After upgrading to my APV I never used my ego again. A LOT of people are happy with their ego setups for a long time! but the people that do upgrade to the APV arena usually question why they didn't do it sooner! That's why I suggest the MVP2. I think the iTaste vv3 could also work, but you'll probably want a back up battery with you as it lacks the battery life the mvp2 has. Personally, I don't care if I look silly puffing on a box. I'm not smoking cigarettes and I'm enjoying a vape which is what is important to me.
To each their own though, just giving my opinion

+1 for an ego and bcc or protank. Inexpensive, reliable, and if you'd like you can rebuild the protank heads very easily.
I'm new too. Basically what I do is keep watching reviews from Youtube. There is "best e-cig" but it may not be the best for you. I guess you kinda have to try and error or watch reviews/videos of other people's error so you could save money and straight proceed to your preferable e-cig.
my first was ego 900 mah got it from a shop in the city centre (pretty satisfied with it). Then I watch reviews and videos to know what fits best for me. Currently using Vision Spinner (just because it's rainbow colour)+ kanger tank promini 3. For now, it's looking good.

I totally agree! I wish I had back the money I spent on the EVOD kit and the Vision Spinner v2 and had gone RIGHT to my MVP v2 (Protank 3 and Aspire Nautilus Mini are both serving me quite well). There's plenty of help here for questions for the MVP v2 so I'd imagine you'd not have any problems at all. I didn't!
I do recommend drinking LOTS of water, particularly when you first start out and for any time you've suddenly found yourself not tasting your juice.
(You'll find a zillion great suggestions, if you have a good B&M go in and spend some time looking at and trying out what they have. That said my B&M discouraged me from buying the MVP v2 and the owner's comments were pretty close to "you're a girl you'll never figure this out".)

As an add in....most tobacco shops now carry a small selection of vape gear and liquid (liquid won't be as high quality in many cases...look for USA made at minimum). I don't know a town that doesn't have a few tobacco shops . You may pay a little more for the equipment (but if you have done enough online searching you won't get fleeced) but often less for juices (mass produced, little less quality, but good enough to start on....until you get hooked and it becomes a hobby ).

I am suffering from TMI - TOO MUCH INFORMATION.I have decided to quit smoking but can't do it alone so ecigs was a suggestion. But there is just too many choices and foreign language, from ejuice, coils, cartomizers, atomizers, So people, I have turned to you for help. Give me your best answers, PLEASE!!
Welcome to ECF! Where in Va are you? I think if you have made your decision to quit, then get decent gear. You've gotten alot of recommendations for the MVP. It was suggested to me at first at the B&M but I thought it was too big. In less than a month I was looking to get one though. Wish I would have just listened in the first place. I finally got one and use it today. There's a reason why it is the most recommended mod. Not saying it is the very best but it is the very best for the money.
